BaT seems to prefer no-reserve listings. At least that is my experience, between one listing request with a reserve that was denied and another with no-reserve they were happy to take. Everyone else's mileage may vary.

I've sold on both BaT and C&B. They'll both list with a reserve for the right car. They may initially try to get you to list with no reserve or with a very low one. That happened to me with both cars I sold. I pushed back and counter offered with my desired reserve and they accepted. Both cars sold at over my reserve. We soon may be selling via on-line auction our '09 E91 xDrive 6MT with 105k miles. The market for them is pretty crazy. I've been following this thread for a while.

Plate starting with a 6, ~2012 registration in CA at the latest no doubt. RWD, no iDrive - lots of miles left to enjoy!

Below is the option list which to me is probably the best enthusiast spec for an E91, its has Comfort Access and Rear Sunshades just to name a couple. I sold a motorcycle through BaT. Loved the experience - I got to talk all day long about my bike. In the end it brought more than I expected. My advice is to do your homework and be transparent about any features and defects. For example with a car, everyone expects undercarriage photos and a driving video, so perhaps get those done prior to placing the listing.

Good price, some damage to both left doors.
Options are plain Jane with the exception of, heated seats and low pro roof rails.

Low rails were standard in later builds. Rail delete was a no-cost option.

I have seen 2011 with raised or low rails, I thought it was an option in 2011 and then standard in 2012.
I must have be looking at 2011s with different build dates then.

Wow, that's surprising a bit. I guess my E91 is worth a lot more than I give it credit for. It's missing sport package of course, but is RWD, has 142k miles, no accidents (unlike this BaT car), single hump, heated seats, comfort access, sat radio, ZPP, etc, and importantly hasn't ever seen winter road use like this example (i.e. look at the undercarriage with rusted bolts, nuts everywhere and corroded aluminum, etc).

Thanks! These are the 18X9 ET30, square. I was torn between the Apex FL5 or SM10, and actually settled on the FL5s based on Nick Wood/MPOWER5266's E91. But Apex said that style wouldn't be available until late summer at the earliest.

And when you got wheel money to spend, you best spend it on wheels as soon as you can, before something else comes up! So I went with the SM-10, reassured by Jon Conley/Quart's car. Can't go wrong either way, IMO.
