I know OS X can be booted directly from a USB drive though. Tried it with my full backup before I upgraded to 10.6. Didn't even feel much slower either. OS X FTW!

Windows won't let you do that : /

I am very impressed by it though. But I def love 10.6 better. I do have an install of OSX on a flash drive with Drive Genius on it so I can run diagnostics. Has to be done without local drive booted.
