We watched the Perfect Couple limited series (apparently to new format for a lot of stuff). Wife liked it. I didn’t and really didn’t like seeing “Ray Donovan” sing and act like he did.

Funny thing was that the guy on Ray Donovan who played an Israeli, was not. And Ray actually has Israeli roots, but played an Irishman.

I also saw somewhere that Pablo Schreiber (Pornstach from OITNB) is Liev Scheiber's half-brother.

Nearing the end of Bad Monkey and noticed that the entire soundtrack is made up of Tom Petty cover songs. Unsurprising, as it is set in Florida.

Watching it as well. Noticed the TP covers in each episode - didn't know if they were from a tribute album.

Any thoughts on the upcoming Dexter: Original Sin? I really enjoyed Dexter, but they should have left it alone and not done the sequel.

I didn't mind the sequel. Also didn't mind the way the original 8 seasons ended.
Definitely uncertain about a prequel with different cast. I do like the notion of Michael C Hall doing narration.

I actually read the book series, the show followed it pretty closely. The wife never watched it, so we are (re-)watching right now and at the end of S07.

One major difference in the books was that Dexter's Dark Passenger was an actual supernatural entity named "Moloch", though it was only in a single book and not particularly emphasized. Apparently, not a fan favorite concept.

I learned that last week! Been watching it on Netflix - didn't have Showtime when it was on originally. Up to Season 4.

So started watching Monsters- The Menendez Brothers. Great start, fast pace, solid actors, hell of story but then I see there's 9 fucking episodes..... 9!! Are you fucking kidding me.

I don't see the need for a Menendez limited series. I've seen it, heard it, and read about it many times over. Just doesn't seem necessary. Now we're recycling stuff.

That’s what they do - recycle both documentaries and fiction. Scott Peterson, OJ, Madoff, the guy who pushed his wife down the stairs, the lawyer in SC who shot his wife and kid, many movies and TV shows re-made, often to incorporate new social statements, etc.
