Whats the best way to upload a excel spreadsheet with the data? I just did a few runs. I don't even know how to upload a picture here. God I feel so stupid suddenly. I also went to Chevron and put 2.6 gal of E85 in so it comes out to a 93.2 Octane mixture at the moment. |

Basic COBB and datalog
Basic question; what is the simplest way to get "inmersed" in this COBB jargon and "how to" data logging? I am mechanically inclined and will pull the trigger on COBB within days, currently have Dinan S2 but I finally have decided to take the next step.
Basically- seems like everyone recommends datalogging especially immediately after install I guess to ensure everything is running smooth. I am sure i will eventually learn. I'm just worried that the time it takes for me to figure this out will be a crucial time where the car may be telling me something critical on the datalogs and I don't catch it until a couple of weeks later. I'm I just freaking out or is this legit worry? Millions of post here, if anyone can shoot me a good url where to start and critical basic know-hows, I would appreciate it! Thanks fellows, this site has really helped me alot. Jorge |

I had originally posted this on another forum but havent gotten much feedback..
Just installed a VRSF FMIC, feels great and did some logs wanted to have you guys take a look. (rename the files from .txt to .csv) 2nd and 3rd gear pulls (AT) traction control all off. Mods are CAI, BMW PE and of course the FMIC and Cobb v.402 Thank you much. |

Nah, that doesn't look too bad. Boost is under control, looks like you had a timing correction during the shift but it doesn't look too severe. Post up the .CSV file as a .txt and it'll be a little easier to review

That one you had some boost overshoot at the start of the pull and during/immediately after the shift. During the shift a small amount of overshoot can be normal.
You only had a couple timing corrections, one was during the shift and the other was while the boost/load was ramping up. Neither of which are a huge problem. EDIT:to make more clear

Stock is the same throttle response you are used to. Linear has a more linear response -> Load/boost is linear with pedal input Try them both and decide which one you like more

First time using the Cobb, works great but.....
Hi all,
I got a Cobb last week and I got a really good deal on some custom tuning by Neetronics. And I must say that it kick ass! My car is a 2011 335is coupe, bone stock and I was running 94 oct, and I really can't believe the numbers they got with the custom tune. But I seem to have a couple of problems with my car now. 1) When I try to use my curse control is reading - - - and does not work 2) And my service interval was reading 20,000km because I had an oil change a month ago, now it reads (-100km). Has this happened to anyone else? If so what is the solution to my problem. Thanks

That looks like Cobb OTS Stage 1 numbers to me or a bit less. I would expect considerably more out of a pro tune

As far as resetting the service interval just Google "resetting BMW 335i service interval" and you'll get several step by step instructions on how to do it.

Keep in kind that is an 335iS. The factory overboost feature leaves less room for gains when tuned.
