Hi,
I have used this method to install INPA and everything works great. I bought new bimmer geek cable and tried to use INPA with that cable and I can't get it to work. I tried to change com ports to com1 but that didn't do the trick. If I use the old cable and put that back to com1 it's working great. Any ideas what to try?? I also tried to update FTDI drivers but windows is telling me I have the latest drivers. |

Go into C/EC-APPS/INPA/CFGDAT and find INPA.ini and open in Notepad. Scroll down to the [CONFIG] section and pick one of the Function buttons you likely wont use and change the code to E53 My INPA.ini file had the following option under F5: F5 =E65 F5_Text =E65 (E65) / 7series F5_ARCHIV =SGBD_E65 Which I changed to E53 because I'd never own an E65: F5 =E53 F5_Text =E53 (E53) / X5 F5_ARCHIV =SGBD_E53 Save the file and close it. Open up INPA and boom, F5 should now give you the E53 menus. |

Thanks for the writeup!
I am in the process of setting up on my computer. I am at step 17, Button 4. "Button 4, Select the EC-APPS\NFS folder that you copied to your C: drive in step 15." I am getting the following message: "C:\EC-APPS is not a valid EC-APPS\NFS Folder" So, I checked the folder structure, and it had all the described folders in it. It also had a work02 and work2 folder in it. So, I deleted the two folders and tried again to get the same message. I am using windows 10 Lenovo 920. Any help would be appreciated. |

Is this error pop-up indicative of an installation problem? I'm trying to find the reported resistance across the battery safety terminal, and I'm pretty sure it's in the next screen down of ignition circuits that I cannot get to because of this error message.
![]() ![]() If I click "yes" to continue script processing, I just end up in a loop of the same error until I click "no" at which point the entire function goes unresponsive and I have to F10 from it. |

Thanks! I’ll give that a shot. Also; not sure if this is the best forum for this... but is there a recommended handheld that can enable the abs pump for brake bleeding? Don’t need a ton of the coding functionality although it looks like fun. So I’m also considering a reasonably priced handheld that can help with more than just the standard obd stuff.

I got the one from Amazon. I tried to use it to bleed my brakes today, but no go. I can hear it kick the pump on. But nothing comes out of the bleed screw. Maybe a solenoid in the manifold needs to kick on? I just did it the old fashioned way instead. Maybe I did it wrong?

Hi
I have a 2007 e91 318d with n47 engine. I installed INPA from elsewhere but have been having issues. I finally managed to get inpa working to read errors but if I go on any of the digital or analogue tabs I always get errors ApiCheckJobStatus. (See attachment DSC_0731) I can keep clicking Ok and the values update, but i constantly get these popups. I did have a problem at first that there was a wrong Control Unit (error in attachment DSC_0730)so found a dde7xn47_all. Ipo and Ini files on a Russian site and that managed to get me in to read errors but now i just have the above problem. I do get a version mismatch when selecting the dme though so don't know if this is a knock on of that error. (attachment DSC_0732) Any ideas? Am i best off to start again and use wildcats files, do they include the E91 N47 engine files? Specifically for Control Unit D70N47A0? |
