On a more serious note, I am coming up on 47,500 mi. Factory warranty is 50k or 4/11. Either way its coming up soon. I am CPO'd. Would you be looking at any extensions or just self insure?

i would get extended if you plan on keeping it longer then 2 years

dude i went through this, BMW is okay being it is BMW but from what our SA friend told us the best one is extended warranty from Ford (i know its ford) but they havent bitched about any claims (SA told me about turbos being replaced and they approved it the next day)

my warranty is up too. im just going to free ball it. anything that breaks ill just upgrade it

An extended warranty from Ford for BMW? I never knew that you don't have to go with the same manufacturer for extended warranty.

It's just an insurance policy so yea you can get it anywhere...mine is through Great American...haven't had to use it though so can't comment

whats the labouuuur time for rear subframe bushing, anyone know? might have to replace the suspension and might as well do the sub frame and all arms
