See, much better results! told you so

From what i've heard the new 8-speed auto is more efficient....up to 10%. I know on n54 forums, Terry ravs about the new tranny

330: 5.15 seconds
1/8: 7.75 seconds @ 95.2 mph
1000: 10.0 seconds
1/4: 11.88 seconds @ 120.7 mph

0-60 in 3.95 seconds

If anybody is intrested I have the GPS log and JB4 log for this run as well. I noticed full boost is only initiated from 4th gear. I think I finished quartermile end of 5th or just into 6th have to look that up still. Also will have to try a 2nd gear launch.

I also had a crappy launch run but top speed was still nice:
60: 2.3
330: 5.72
1/8: 8.42 @ 94.65 mph
1000: 10.65
1/4: 12.55 @ 120.4 mph

0-60 in 4.95 seconds
What was recorded by?
Just asking as I know GPS recorders like Vbox tend to be a couple of MPH higher than what you get at a real strip.

Do you have a real drag strip near you?

Normally my wagner competition intercooler (tube and fine core) should arrive today. If thats the case I will pick it up tonight at the shop and install it myself tomorrow. I really hope this has improved flow over stock fmic. According to technical talks with wagner guy I am expecting it to be able to flow 1 to 1.5 psi more in top rpm. This together with more cooled air might give another edge on this upgrade. If above holds true I will be doing some more quartermile testing later this week

Previously I had installed a Forge FMIC (bar and plate) which limited max boost by 1.5 to 2 psi in top end. Since I am running meth the IAT improvement was not that big (not expecting it to be on the wagner either) but due to flow restriction and corresponding pressure drop I lost 0.5 seconds 100-200kph. Which is quite a lot. Hence I sent it back to Forge. Keep in mind this is running max boost so the turbo cant give more to compensate.

Got my turbo installed last Tuesday, been driving for a while now.. Finally got a chance to get about 40% E85 in there.. This thing pulls waay harder up top. The huge rush of torque around 2500ish is gone, so I'd say the powerband has shifted from the 2500-4500 range to about 3000-6500. It's awesome. For the money, well worth it. Can't wait to get it on a dyno!

Woah, I thought you had a stage 2 upgrade. Makes your 1/4 mile time and trapspeed that much more impressive. Isn't the stage 1 cost less than a grand?

Single gear pull say 4th gear? 2.5k rpm to 6.5k rpm? I am currently running 98 ron and meth. That might be similar to your 102 ron. I will do a log for your tomorrow. I usually dont start from as low 2.5k rpm...

Thank you
I'm totally fine with that

A pull starting 3rd until 4th gear 6500rpm would be nice if you have the right place to do it. Or a 3rd gear only pull

I'm from Germany so that's pretty easy for me. Where are you from?

Thanks! I thoroughly enjoy watching these car ripping through the gears. Easily looks faster than my stock turbo car is in 45 degree weather.
