  • WBAUU3C54AA541124
  • $19,995
  • 85,XXX miles
  • Automatic, xDrive
  • Alpine White
  • M Sport with Style 194s (missing one center cap... Lol)
  • Shadowline trim, black mirrors are a nice touch IMO
  • Roof rail delete
  • Adaptive Xenons, PDC
  • Beige interior, walnut trim, heated seats
  • iDrive
  • Claimed "Turner Intake Manifold and Software"

Just did a look over as this little dealer is right by my house. These guys always get some cool cars in. Closed on Saturdays so I couldn't look inside or under the hood. Pics look like it has a pretty bad OFHG leak. Price is way too high for me being an auto with tan interior.

Pretty clean though. Minimal surface rust underneath given it's in Michigan. Clear bra on front bumper and top of rear bumper. Paint is flaking off of roof rail delete inserts. Other than that the rest of the paint looks to be in good condition. Seats look good other than some typical driver's bolster wear. Tires look new but are not a brand I know.

What would you pay for it?

Looks like Coco Floor Mats in the front and rear. Usually enthusiasts purchase
those as they aren't really a "mainstream" normal purchaser product.

Yes, terrible pictures and description, but I've known the broker for 20 years. He will sell this car and weed out the tirekickers.

The car is 2 owner, I bought it from EAG with 14,600 miles and put on the rest. I have all the paperwork and gave it to the broker. Everything works, np issues or codes. No accidents, although Carfax may show replacement headlights due to a big pothole. The car has the business NAV and adjustable lights.

I did the manifold/software conversion with Turner parts. No body repaint, had to re-do the front and rear bumpers because of clear-coat peel. It is an M-sport package car, no sagging headliner. I upgraded the stereo a little with the factory Alpine conversion, a few other M-line bits and pieces, but otherwise stock. I repainted the mirror caps and exhaust valence gloss black when the bumpers were done, using a high-end body shop.

All services and recalls up to date, pretty minor issue with the car in my ownership. I had a big rock chip in the front window, replaced with OEM glass about 4 years ago. Cosmetically, very nice, a few touched-up chips.

New all-seasons, also have a set of 18 inch 193 wheels for sale.

That's mine,

It had a valve gasket leak, fixed this year by Erhard BMW. Had the serpentine belt done as well.

You're right there is a little paint coming off the rail mounting points. Tires are Yokohama run-flats, definitely not a no-name. Much of the mileage on the car was driving back and forth to the East Coast, Canada, Illinois or Indiana, I like having run flats on road trips.

And yes, new Coco Mats.

The car has been serviced by Auto Europe and Erhard. No cut corners in maintenance.

AE services my Cayman R, 911 Carrera T and used to service, let's see, my Lotus Elise, Audi S4s, Audi B5 S4 wagon, and some others. This was my every day, take the family and dog on road trips car.

I love this car BTW, and at one point also owned a 2011 BMW M3 sedan. It was a lot faster of course, but for a relaxed drive, the wagon stayed and the M3 went.

If anybody has a question, feel free to PM me.

It is an M-sport, I replaced the hard plastic with the M-line alcantara parts, also the shifter. Maybe the better approach would be to run the VIN and see for yourself?

Q: what do you all think is the mid-term value of lower mileage, automatic transmission e91 m-sports? $15k? Given the N52 and hydraulic steering, I’m curious if the M-sports are able to hold a $15k price for awhile. Or maybe $12k? $18k? $20k seems like it bumps into the f31 territory, even though the cars are very different.

Not an easy question. BMW wagons in general, especially well maintained ones should hold their value fairly well. You've seen prices go up over the last 2 years because of Covid, inflation and supply chain issues but it's not clear how long that is sustainable.

Could a recession force people to stop paying $30k for 10 year old cars? Probably- but again supply is so limited folks with money will probably still pay premiums for good condition and good spec cars. If you have a very basic spec then it will probably depend more on mileage and condition.

Realistically I don't expect you to lose a ton of value. I don't see these prices dropping back below $10k any time soon for decent examples even with high miles.

Thanks - I agree with your thoughts. It's been such an interesting car market, due to everything you've said, along with certain car characteristics disappearing (I6, hydraulic steering, and to a lesser extent wagons and even internal combustion engines...). I think the spec is key. BIGGNS e91 checked all of the boxes that an automatic could have (MPE, low mileage, HK, xenon, etc) and reached $22,750 on BaT.

Apologies if my post came across as negative. Was not trying to bash at all. Trying to state everything in the listing plus what I had noticed from a quick look. To me your car seems like a nice example if you're looking for an automatic xDrive M Sport. Thank you for providing a lot more info.

I mean...other than a 2019 Alltrack (booooring), name another used 6MT wagon still available in NA for purchase at this time (excluding a plastic subaru) that's still engaging to drive. Low mileage m sport examples being sold will only continue to balloon in price as the enthusiasts hold on to these prime examples.

Prices are nuts - and will only continue. I say if this dealer can sell at that price, get it. I'm sure they'd be happy with 37-38 after sitting on it a month. If it is rust free and well maintained, the N52 provide an owner with another few decades of fun daily driving. My buddy has a sprint booster on his RWD 6MT e91 and the thing is a blast to daily!
