MXP E90 325/330 Header

great news...my car will not unlock the door and cannot even fill up the gas anymore...and i'm out of warranty already lol. recommand any SA either in Fremont BMW or East Bay BMW? I got ECU flash on my car, but dnt think got time to take it out before I head to the dealer (cuz cnt fill up the gas and i'm running out of it...). since i'm out of warranty and gotta pay anyway. shouldn be a prob take in to dealer? any suggestions guys? thanks

FUDGE, sorry to hear . this is exactly the problem that I'm scared of facing. It's happened to me twice already and I'm out of warranty as well. Knock on wood this shit does not happen.

I would PM Zoeb or Dr. Phuonger to get more info ... I'm assuming they would recommend Freddie Chang @ Fremont BMW

There's a TSB for it. It's 1 of 2 things.

1) The fuse is blown. BMW states you can put a 20A fuse in place of the 15A fuse that likely blew.

2) The fuse is blown, but you also have a bad door lock actuator. The actuator is drawing more current than it should, and needs to be replaced.

Replace the fuse first. If it happens again, you need to measure the actuator currents and find the bad one and replace the bad one.

He is actually the one i'm thinking to go for as a SA.gonna hit him up tomorrow. sigh, hopefully they wont mess up my tune on the car. and I cannot reflash back my ECU to stock before i bring it to dealer. The shop that can flash me back to stock is like 1hr 30 mins from where i live plus they dnt have any open spot for me til next Monday, and only have like less than half tank left (cnt fill up the gas, F)...should be arite to bring it to dealer with a tune in car? i'm out of warranty of course...

Thanks for the info. apprecaite it! well...so far dnt have much options for me rather than going back to dealership...running out of gas soon...

Just replace that fuse and everything will work again....

SmileKevin, I suggest Freddie Chang, but before you go in, do what Chowbow said and try to check your fuses first.
