I watched Baby Reindeer yesterday on Netflix.

Bit of a mindfuck but tackles lots of social issues.

Not something I'd usually enjoy, but I think the writer/director did a great job on this.

I am 2 episodes in. It's Ok but can either get weird for the sake of weird or make no sense. I don't understand how we went from Vault to above ground and above ground is apparently just fine.

I think the world above isn't totally destroyed everywhere. Some places are less hit than others and start to show signs of recovery.

I'm guessing you never played the games. It's a lot more fun if you played the games and can see all the stuff from the game show up.

Not sure why you are confused though. The world outside is an apocalyptic wasteland. They say it's been like 200 years or something since the nukes went off so yeah some people survived and have rebuilt to some extent but I'm not sure where you get "just fine" from.

Unless you are confused with the scenes where they cut to the past before the nukes went off and before the vaults were built.

I enjoyed it. I do think it got better further into it. However I'm also a big fan of the games so.

Yeah I never did play the games but I love my sci-fi. I got confused because it seemed like the surface was barely inhabitable, if at all, then suddenly we cut to a sort of army camp where they just go about their daily lives, no radiation suit etc.

I'm surprised Al is still intrigued about Fallout. I lost interest in the pilot. Just too flimsy and disjointed for me.

They had too many side stories going on for sure. That's the writers fault though.. Set design, acting, characters, props, etc. were well done though. Hoping for the 2nd season to be a more tidy.

I tried to give it another shot, just couldn't. Too many empty gaps. Amazed some ppl made it through the whole season, I couldn't even finish 2 episodes.

Different strokes.

Pretty sure I saw it mentioned here, but can't find the post. Just finished watching Severance... pretty sure I saw the trailer for this a while back and though meh, however I really enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. I think Apple TV has some of the best shows.

Nothing really to watch right now, just watching my "junk food" shows like Star Trek Discovery latest season, also still making my way through For All Mankind... I like it, but it's not like a must binge all seasons right away.

I cancelled it last July.

We recently re-subscribed to Netflix and Hulu after cancelling those. I will cancel them again when we get sick of their content. See no reason to pay monthly if we aren't watching them.

Guys, I'm curious, how much does it cost monthly for all your subscriptions/channels/etc?

Sometimes I’ll get a channel for a specific show then cancel when the show ends.

I won't count Prime because the mrs will get that for shipping anyways so the content is free.

My "TV" via Bell for 25 basic channels including sport is $28 including tax and i somehow get Crave (HBO) for free. I find you still need the network channels for sport or world events when people are over. Netflix $15 with tax. So call it $45ish CDN bucks.

I'm about to cancel also, but just because I've seen everything I wanted to see already. I'll subscribe again when they get some new seasons or some new shows I like.

What's on Netflix recently that's better than the stuff on Apple?

On Apple I really liked Invasion, Silo, Foundation, Slow Horses, Severance, Masters of the Air... the only one I watched and really didn't like was Monarch... fucking Godzilla show with no... Godzilla.

The last things I remember watching on Netflix that were good was Dark (and 1899) and Squid Games plus I feel that was long ago. The Witcher and Stranger Things even longer than that. Rebel Moon movies were alright, but not a series. 3 Body Problem was decent, but still think Apple TV is better, especially sci-fi.
