For those of you still in school... a great way to gain some experience, gain some credibility for your resume, and to see the world is to join a reputable consulting company.

Dont most of those consulting companies look for applicants with some experience?

Lets say im just looking for an entry level part time position to do like you said, build up some skill and credibility for my resume while im in school, how would i even go about doing this? I mean i've looked for jobs through schools/online sites etc etc, and they are require some experience.

Kinda expensive for tracking, but made for the track!

I won't spoil the surprise, but I hope to have them by next week. Need to buy tires now. Anyone have a hookup for tires? I know Pshhhhhmw has one but he hasn't gotten back to me yet.

Many of the larger consulting firms recruit top students in their senior year. You goto Cal Poly right? In your senior year, goto the career center and they should be able to help you out.

What programming experience do you have right now? Any Java, C++, .NET, SQL, UNIX experience? Don't tell me CSU still uses that crappy VAX machine LOL...

You should be able to get some intern or part time gig with some experience above.

I guess I lucked out. When I was still in school, I was able to get a part time job working on PeopleSoft, an ERP package that was acquired by Oracle a couple of years ago. It ended being so hot that they were practically recruiting people if you could spell it LOL... j/k... but it was insane.

You just go out and do an impulse buy LOL... and it wasn't the cheapest either. I priced out these wheels at a few places and decided to buy them from Ray because he seemed like a good guy to deal with. Was going to go with Driveline. Maybe I should have, to establish rapport with a local vendor. Driveline had the best price and was willing to waive tax for a cash transaction.

things were better when it was at the boom
