The Kumho ECSTA MXs are very loud. You should have seen my first set. They looked like an octagon due to all the drifting LOL...

I'm so used to it. In fact, when I put my second set on a couple of months ago, I was SOOO---> happy because they were new and the road noise was MUCH better than what I was used to the previous 10k miles.

No... breaking them in will not make the road noise get better hehe...

Great price, good performance, and some road noise. You give and take a little. I don't mind.

I'm going to be under the guy who's in charge of machining shop..so basically make sure that all of the chemicals, ie mercury, are properly disposed. Make sure air quality is up to the legal limit, etc.

It's a 180 hours internship, I'm hoping to knock it out in a month and a half, doing the 8 hours a day 5 times a week.

After this, I'm going to consider another internship at Amgen in the Fall semester. They're kinda far..in Thousand Oaks, but it is a paid internship. Not much, but $15 an hour will at least pay for gas money.

Stupid iDrive got me delayed on the way there..it had me get off 1 exit too far and had me get back on the freeway to get off at the exit that I was suppose to from the start. Their security is no joke, had me pop the trunk and searched it thoroughly. Saw some nice cars up there too..an M3, M6, and 997 Turbo.

How long does a set usually last you? My runflats didnt even last me a full year (less then 12k miles) so i HOPE HOPE HOPE these will last longer.

Dood... Amgen is the place to be. They have been on the top employers list for the past 13 years.

I would love to work there, but they had been having some layoffs recently due to some of their problematic drugs.

I should check to see when they were put on and when I replaced them. Difficult to gauge because the car was tracked hard for 2k miles. This was my friend Mike's car before.

My friend is there right now because he wanted a paid internship. All of the guys that are working there right now are from my campus, lol. My friend said that the company is like a tight knitted community. They have basketball tourney at lunch and stuff. One of my friends who graduated last year, interned heavily at Amgen, and got picked up when he graduated. They started the guy off at 70K, which is pretty damn good for a fresh kid off the campus I think.

I only have 6 classes left before I can get my BS. I figure that I'll take 3-4 courses in the Fall and do the internship. And finish the rest of the courses in the Spring and maybe do 1 or 2 graduate level classes since I plan on doing their Masters program anyways.

Speaking of tires, I was looking for any shop that had any Hankook K104s, lol. I searched Craigslist and found a shop in the 626 that had them. They're cheap tires that are decent IMO. I just didn't want to risk going with any other set up because all the side walls on tires are different and I don't want to rub.

The shop was truly Chinese owned. Had the incent candles in the shop, along with other gold Buddhas. Reminded me of my grandparents' house in Thailand, lol.

70k right out of school?????

Hmm... sounds a bit suspicious, but you never know.

I work in the HR/Finance systems area and since I've worked from public sector to health care to high tech to finance, I'm pretty well-versed with salaries out there. 70k for no experience is a bit outrageous if you ask me.

Amgen's campus is literally like a college campus. They have a few of their own restaurants there, gyms, child care... They have one of THE BEST 401k/benefits packages in the industry for large companies.
