It's one of those cars that for $3k of rehab would be a BAT car, and for $1500 will be an excellent beater / daily driver (which is our plan).

For a decent spec 42k mile xiT I thought $12K-$13K was a really good price even with the cosmetic issues.
Perfect!!!! Will be a great one!

thanks. I'll post some before and after pics in a thread next week. We literally got it home yesterday at noon and left for vacation for the week at 1pm.

Not an E91 but I'm sniffing around the idea of 335D swapping an E61 if some plans work out. We will need a bigger car to knock down some long distance highway miles (FL to Canada) at least a couple times a year, possibly towing a small trailer. With fuel prices in Canada a diesel might be the way to go. I'd leave it auto I think, but delete and tune it.

If anyone comes across an E61 with a bad motor I'm interested and pass it along. Not sure I want to do another crashed car build like my N54 manual swapped E91.

No interior pics to verify 6MT. Bill of sale only may make it difficult, but not impossible, to register in another state (I speak from experience).
I'm curious about this one... it's sorta' local to me. Presuming there was front end damage leading to the new cover (paint doesn't quite match, either). Looks like another red wagon in the background.

Also, can what is that bill of sale? Does that mean seller doesn't have the title?

Like I said... curious...

Morning wagon search, here's what I found.

Lemont, IL. | LCI | xDrive | Auto | Deep Sea Blue | 97k mikes | $16.8k

Milwaukie, OR | LCI | xDrive | Auto | Black Sapphire Metallic/Saddle Brown | 111k mikes | $13.9k

https://portland.craigslist.org/clc/...515624761.html

Tacoma, WA | LCI | xDrive | Auto | Alpine White/Beige | 109k mikes | $13.9k

Yep. Seller doesn't have the title. Also it is a salvaged title at that without a title at that.

It makes it hard without a title. Not unless the seller is ok with going with you to the DMV/AAA to get it all settled. It's still a multi-step process because they have to verify that the title is actually in that person's name, there is no lien on it, or any other outstanding items. Sometimes a notary has to get involved too along with all of the additional paperwork. My recommendation with sales like these, either it gets done together and finalized at the DMV/AAA or no sale. If you risk just taking the bill of sale and try to do everything yourself you could be stuck and the seller could ghost you.

Not a true m-sport, but still looks the part w front fascia and nice OEM wheel setup...plus rack and box. RWD and 6MT FTW.

This one is local to me. Dealer seems to price all their high mileage BMW's on the high side.

Yeah, I appreciate the MT, but high mileage, no sport package/seats, and iDrive on that make it really over priced IMO. Much rather do a trans swap on a better donor car, but that's just me.

After searching this thread for 6 months and receiving inspiration from some of your e91 builds I finally found mine. She's coming home! All the way from Massachusetts and will be residing in California. I didn't find it through here but found it the same time @josh-pa found his, funny enough.

It was a craigslist posting and I instantly reached out to the owner and bought it. 2 owner (the first owner was a fleet vehicle) 90k miles. Deep sea blue over saddle brown sports package single hump. Everything I wanted.

Now the journey begins!

Bought this one thanks to a post by JDAURIA over a month ago.

I always wanted an E91 but never took the search seriously. I definitely overpaid, but I had to have it because of the spec (Bluewater metallic, gray dakota, brushed aluminum, single hump, x-drive, AT).

It'll be going to a body shop shortly to fix some items.

Ah. Looks so good. Is this the one owner, low miles, that was listed for 20k?
If I remember correctly, the son was selling for his dad.

Yea, it was a 2 owner and the seller/owner were great throughout. Car was definitely taken care of but there were flaws. There was an accident with the 1st owner, the trunk was repainted with small rust bubbles forming on the lower half and the front bumper was also repainted with some overspray issues. Everything I knew beforehand.

I was hoping the trunk would be repairable but it was too far gone. So, I’m having a new trunk painted and installed, along with correcting the front bumper scuffs/overspray. Still love it though.
