Makes me miss writing my former side gig monthly food critic column for a national racing magazine, where I got to explain the local cuisine and regional specialties to readers who weren't on the tour or traveling to events.

Interesting. BUT, I think this is one of those things where I like both components but not necessarily together. You know, like a tuna melt. I like grilled cheese and I like tuna but not together.

I have to agree on that one. I think I would have to pass, and I like to try new things. Nothing appetizing looking about a fried meat pie floating in pea soup!

Wife surprised me with a Mexican variation on spaghetti. Apparently that huge pot that had a red mixture in it was all the tomatoes and CHILE PEPPERS ( Lups ) from last weekend's harvest in the backyard. Included both jalapeño and serrano. Ground chicken was cooked in a skillet, and then a generous portion of that sauce was simmered while noodles were boiled.

Would eat again. The poor taster-hound was spared any bites.
