Great question and thanks for the compliment. I've always just try to be cordial yet factual. It can be a tough crowd out there sometimes though with a lynch mob mentality. It is a shame because we all have much to learn from others.

As for the product and revisions. Not many. The actuator ends I started making my own, I didn't like the source I was working with on them and felt the materials were cheap. After the first maybe 15 or so sets I started using Step Gap seals, although I don't think they amount to much at the end of the day at least I can say they are used. There has been some changes in the machining processes, but nothing that should affect performance. Overall its the same wheels and internals and materials that have always been used. I've used these combinations of wheels in past lifetimes (with other platforms) and they are a great match for an engine like the N54; I just didn't want to ruin what I know is a proven combo.

I believe the N54 map sensor is limited to about 21psi but that is pushing it. These turbos can be boosted much higher in the midrange but at high RPM the housings and wheels get tapped out much beyond 19psi. Ideally Id say a midrange 23-24psi tapering down to a 18-19psi redline would be the way to get as much as possible out of them. Just need the fuel and tuning to support that obviously. A 20psi to 17psi tune though should be pretty smooth sailing, at safer ends of the efficiency ranges.

Not my specific map, pretty sure I never located it and MHI is not much on releasing much data. You can kind of improvise with the 13T and 16T maps- they are easier to find out there. If I dig it up though I'll post it.

I've had my RBs for over a year now and the car drives very well with them, together with a dedicated map from ProTuningFreaks (20.6 to 18psi on 98 octane gas, for the record).

I would say more power from 3000-7000 although I shift at 6,200.

Hey Rob, couple questions. Since you're local, do you have a shop and do installs? Or just primarily a machine shop of some sort? Also, curious about this PCV. Is there a link about it? Any benefits to a non rb turbo'd car (stock turbos)?
