I believe the stock 328i manifold part number is 11617559524
According to Turner Motorsport: E90 330i N52B30H0 intake manifold (new), 11617559523 I've done the swap myself, and I promise the two parts are very different. Check out this comparison picture:

Yeah if you have an N51 engine, then that's a completely different story. This thread is centered around N52 engines.
The website you referenced (realoem.com) doesn't make it abundantly clear which engine it's showing you. From the URL I see "USA-08-2007-E90-BMW-328" which would have to be N52, since the N51 wasn't sold in the USA. If this is an N52 diagram, then in this case realoem appears to be inaccurate. These well-known BMW parts sites all list the part number for the stock E92 328i N52B30 intake manifold as 11617559524 https://parts.bmwofsouthatlanta.com/...617559524.html https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...ld-11617559524 https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-3...uine-bmw-part/

Q: there is an N51 engine being sold locally. Is it crazy to try to grab the parts from that motor, then install on my 92k N52? Good time to replace lots of gaskets, anyway...
BTW - I am a relative novice on motor repairs. I have only replaced belts and pulleys. But I am always up for a good challenge! |

I just purchased a used 3stage manifold from a 2007 330i. I have a 2012 328 with single stage. I noticed there is a single CCV outlet on the 330i intake while mine has a dual CCV outlet. Is it still possible to use the single CCV mani on my car? Do I need to change anything to make the conversion work? Thank you

Im a little confused on the wiring for this upgrade. If the old manifold doesn't have DISA valves then where does the wiring come from when you swap in the 3 stage one?

Since I just suffered from the PCV Heater failure (https://www.e90post.com/forums/showp...&postcount=302 ), and the recall isn't issued in Canada, I figured I might as well swap over to a 3IM at the same time.
Picked up the 3IM on eBay from a California N51 for $200 USD ($260 CAD) + $60 CAD Shipping and Duties. I followed the PelicanParts guide , but ran into a few issues, so thought extra pics and info might help out others. First issue I ran into was getting the wiring box off from under the Throttle Body. I ended up removing the Throttle Body to get a better look at the wiring box. The Metal "slides" were rusted, and even when the tabs were pushed down, the box wouldn't come off. I ended up needing to spray a bit of Liquid Wrench on the slides to help remove the rust and allow the box to come off. This is about as far as you can pull the manifold before you need to remove the other cables/hoses. Behold all the space!. This is a good time to do your OFHG if you haven't done it. Much easier to get at the OFHG bolts with the manifold out of the way. Single vs Three-Stage Intake On reinstall, I forgot to plug in the Pre-Cat O2 Sensors. Remember to plug *everything* in. One benefit of the N52 over the N54...look at how clean those intake valves are after 150k kms Done (Have a beer) Last edited by Jagaer; 06-01-2018 at 07:05 AM.. |

For those of you who have done the 3-stage conversion, would a failure of some part (ie new DISA) of this be ODB code-readable or logical? Or if something hiccups with the engine, I'm guessing and this could be a logical guess? Or will it just (probably) pull a single code about "A" DISA failure?

So with the addition of the new DISA module, this would show up individually (automatically)? OR is that only after a ECU reprogram?

Only after a reprogram - but beware. Some tuners don't necessarily enable those codes, so they would never trigger.
