Ordered a set for Pre-LCI E90. The old ones I have are throwing codes and its really annoying. Cant wait to get these.

Damn lately I've had to order a ton of stuff from Mike and I'm really happy with the service and products.

So I finally installed them today and although I am happy with them (price, color, how the car looks, etc...), they are not exactly what I thought. Mainly the outer ring brightness... basically most of the photos here have captured it at an angle which shows the whole ring lit up the best and not how it really looks from most of the angles when you look at it.

Some cell phone pics at night.

I second this, I also installed these and the outer rings have almost no brightness. I'm very disappointed at this price point. My $48 ebay led's worked better.

Keep in mind the outer rings are designed to only reflect light forward, not at an angle, so you will not and should not get a lot of light when viewed at an angle with any angel eye LED system. When viewed straight on they should look like they do in this photo. BMS has a collection of competitive LED products (most of which cost a lot more) and has tested them all side by side. The 4LEDs look basically identical to the other more expensive LED retrofits out there. As far as the eBay junk it's really hit and miss. Sometimes you can find something on eBay that works OK for awhile but more often they don't. There is no shortage of $40-$100 LED options for people to try out but BMS has tested them all and then some. If they worked well they would carry them. At $129 the 4LEDs provide a great value and they also include a one year warranty.

I will take pictures from straight on to show you the lack of light on the outside. I am satisfied with the JB, it's the greatest upgrade ever- guess we can't expect everything to be that epic

I snapped a pic yesterday in direct sun to show how the outer ring is lit when the bulbs are installed properly. This is on my 2007 e92.

How can the bulbs NOT be properly installed? They are like a puzzle (I think those are the words used on the .pdf) and only go in and twist one way... right?

Got the bulbs yesterday, installed it this morning in 10 minutes, fairly easy, gotta have small hands....

I'll take some pictures later today as the car is in the garage and it's .... darn cold outside.

If you don't seat them correctly they are installed at a slight angle which then prevents or alters the proper light path. They need to sit perfectly flush and even with the housing. Its actually pretty simple to not install them correctly as when you turn one of the connectors may not catch and the bulb will be slightly on an angle.

Updated --

where are the instructions!?
here they are: http://burgertuning.com/instructions...tall_Guide.pdf

I will post pics later tonight. My outter rings are partially lit up. It was a pain in the ass to get the bulbs in and out! I have small hands and it still took a little bit.
