Anyone know if the latest versions of ISTA allow you to program modules via ENET, or is it still an ICOM only thing?

You can change Ista config file (ISTAGUI.exe.config) to allow ENET programming. Not sure if its recommended to program using ENET instead of ICOM, havent tested it.

For bmw_standard_tools_installer_v2.12.2,
how can I make it's INPA work?

it seems to me that as is, it's trying to connect to a ethernet device. but i am using KDCAN cable.

I was using bimmergeeks but it was having problems with outdated files.
using EDIABAS from bimmergeeks version still didn't want to work with your 2.12.2

is there a tut on using 2.12.2 with kdcan usb cable?

you need to edit the file obd.ini from "C:\EDIABAS\BIN\obd.ini" to be set to usb, something like this:

Port=Com1
Hardware=USB
RETRY=ON

which one should it be? definitely not ENET since it sounds like ethernet.. but my working ISTA installation uses Interface=REMOTE, while my bimmergeeks uses Interface STD:OBD

They received a complaint of certain software getting shared.
But without the decrypt key, they dont know whats getting shared.
