e90mbition - where did you get pulled over? I've been running with no front plate for over 6 months and haven't even had a cop give me so much as a second glance! *knocks on wood*

Pulled over at Bayview and 16th, it was 6:30 in the morning and the police did a U turn as she saw me from the other side of traffic, is it ok to just have it on the dash behind the window??

I had it in my front window for the first 6 months of ownership, and then bought a tow-hook plate mount. I ended up removing it when I had to tow the car onto a flatbed (when the water pump died), and never ended up putting the plate back on. I just have it in my trunk.

My car is from Montreal originally so does not have a bracket in the front. I had a cop come up to me in a parking lot once when I was sitting there, to make sure I wasn't doing anything I shouldn't be. He walked around the front of the car to get my plate number, noticed it wasn't there, and simply walked around to the back instead. Didn't even bat an eye or bring up the fact that I didn't have a front plate LOL.
