I'm with the people who thought the point was entirely obvious and that the ads are both clever and funny.
The horse seems to look the most normal, and the frog looks the most abnormal.

BMW has made some of the most intelligent commercials ever, and these 3 are 3 of them. I find it really weird that some of you don't like them. Ok it would be more explanatory if BMW's had like, 80% rear wheel drive & 20% front (as it, kind of, happens in these animals (except the frog maybe)), but still, it shows that natural choice in animals gives them huge strengh on their back legs in order to be faster and more agile, and leaves the front legs to do the 'steering' properly

That is very, very clever. I can't believe all these people that don't get it! Very interesting much of the audience isn't getting it.
But I do, they're showing how their design simulates the perfect agility of nature. It's brilliant! You really get a FEEL for why BMW does rear wheel drive. You can imagine how akward it would be for an animal to move around like that, and this is what BMW is saying about front wheel drive cars. Genius. |

It doesnt fly in the real world. Because 80% of people who are members of this community are here to learn more/ share information about our cars people who are interested in cars didnt get it.
Though, I admit it's still pure genius. |

Made sense to me
Made sense to me off the bat. Power in the back, control in the front. Of course the same logic would mean that xi is bad, too. Still, I like the ads. If you have to stop and think about it, you haven't turned the page. If it were just a pretty pic of a Bimmer, one would say "so what? I know they look nice".
I think a TyrannosaurusRex would be an amusing one to do, but of course he's really on two wheels. |
