Another update

Had DME repaired by The ECU Pro team - files were corrupt!

I now have tach reading and spark during crank - BUT still crank no start. So, last two issues to resolve are: injector wiring (continuity) since i have good fuel pressure at the rail - failing that, i will need to pull the valve cover to deal with a timing belt issue no doubt!

Another update

Reconfirmed i had a good injector relay - clicked fine to the touch and tested well under load.
Pulled injector wiring diag from ISTA and was going to test all wires for continuity - in looking at the nightmare to get access to all the various points it occurred to me just to pull the injector rail and crank engine - yup, all injectors firing fine.

Hey Timo - as you can tell from my last post - still no joy after I had the DME fixed!

Have you had any joy before i go opening the valve cover to inspect timing belt?

Cheers

Well -I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Noticed my cranking sounds different - with a sort of air blowout pop - will search YT to see if i get lucky with someone understanding what it could be!

Hey Timo - finally got it to work!
Was about to buy an oscilloscope to check crank cam correlations for timing as I was getting no codes whatsoever when a YT video gave me the idea to check compression - had previously - couple years ago - been prefect, and they were all over the place, mostly low.
Soaked them over 48hours with valve cleaner, approx 30 ml - then blew it out with compressor. Compression came back on all to be a very heathy 175 psi - with a couple up at 200! Started first time - smoked like a diesel locomotive for 5 mins burning off all the cleaner and then settled down to a purring within 10 mins. Trust this is of some help- best of luck.

Hello only seeing it now
Happy days you got it working
But what did you do to get the communication back also I think you had codes that were coming up as preventing manipulation or something if I remeber correctly
