78k on the clock i thought they looked pretty bad but some weren't too bad. the car just feels way better the idle is like the car isnt even on. At times it would shake on a cold start and rpms would go crazy that doesnt happen anymore. The car just feels so much better its hard to put into words but the engine just feels HAPPY and SMOOTH.With the snow this morning and the cold weather i felt a huge difference on start up and how the car ran while still warming up. didn't get a chance to take many pics here are the three i did get
here is cyl 3 before final blast to get the gunk on the left off

[IMG][/IMG]
forgot what cyl this was but one of the cleaner ones before blasting(after a little scraping)
[IMG][/IMG]
cyl 1 after one round of blasting

again Alex i cant thank you enough!!

It's seems like I should get mine done.. Too many success stories with cleaning these and it would be beneficial before modding

I would rather do it myself than a shop and learn more about my car. I don't know we're to really start

Alex, I can't believe you're still doing this lol. You're certainly the man. If you ever want to take some turns on the slopes, let me know. Beers on me is the least I can do!

Ok how about everyone bring their cars to Pagosa Springs this AUG. (BMW4Corners Meet)
If we can get Alex there, this should knock out many cars in one day.

Yep, I'm the friendliest valve biotch in town. Yeah, all this new snow is making me desperate for a day of hooky. In fact, I think I'm going to ski this Friday, but back for Saturday for ~more~ intake cleaning.

I think I waited too long and now we won't have another clear weekend for me to drive the 3 up there!

I just rolled 87k on the clock, so would there be any other parts to replace while doing the walnut blasting to get ahead on preventative maintenance? Thanks in advance!
PMd you.

Huge thanks to Alex, it is awesome that you offered this up.

Cylinders 1 - 6 in order, before the blast. They honestly weren't terrible, probably helps that I have had a BMS OCC and the RB PCV valve for about 13k miles (I have 52k currently). Plus I drive it pretty hard all the time.

No afters, but just picture clean valves

You're welcome. Ha! Nice pics, indeed we taped 3 & 6 first.

Hmmm, thanks for a most excellent bribe. (The other generous bribes are great as well.)

Ordered a new kit and have it now. If you want to borrow this stuff, let me know. You can borrow the broken adaptor that still works with duct tape, or the new one. If you break the new one, you buy it, break the broken one even more...you can keep it...
