But you have a mistake, it is &663 not $633. You have also to buy the mic, the usb plug and the wires for that. (It cost aroun 100€~140€ at your dealer: plug, mic and wiring.) Regards!

Will the voice commands be active using the steering wheel controls? Do I have to activate anything else besides the coding of the RAD2 to enable the steering wheel functions for telephone? |

You need a head unit from 09/2007 or newer if you want the new dong... If your hu is older than this date, you cannot enable it Which is the date of the HU? (it is written at the sticker) Regards!

What to buy for 2009 USB
Jose,
So, what do I need to add USB to my 2009 328i with Pro Audio Head Unit? It now has an AUX In in the console. All I want is to add the USB flash drive reader capability - no mic or Bluetooth for a phone. Looks like I need to buy these part numbers: 84109237653 USB-Aux Socket 61119129360 Coaxial fakra wire for USB Do I need to code the radio? If I do, what OBD unit, and what software for Win7? Thanks for any help! Last edited by 2002; 11-14-2012 at 05:10 PM.. |

Thank you for all the info.
I have an E91 2006 and want the Bluetooth, USB and the new gong. I didn't want to install the complex MULF or TCU modules as they are too complicated and expensives to install. Also, my old CD73 radio display has lost some pixels so it's time for a radio swap! I have ordered a new HU on EBAY, USB cable, socket and Y cable. The radio is coming with a compatible micro so I will see if I need a genuine BMW or not. Cheers! |

I think your hu is not USB capable... better check it. If you are lucky, order only the parts you said (buy the mic and the wires for it too... more features, better car ) Regards!

I tried to add $6nn, $6fl, $644, $620 to the VO,
FA_Write the CAS and FRM, Process CAR / Code CAR (2 times) SG_Reset or coding the 2URAD I always get this error: I don't think I have a 2MULF but as I see it in my ECUs, I tried to reset / code it also....didn't work. Anyone found a way to reset the 2URAD so I can get the English Voice Control and reducing the sound level. (The gong and voice control are too loud, still at -5) This is the error log: ERROR! Modul: CDH.C, Proc: CDHCheckIdent, LineNr: 03, ErrorNr: 2041 COAPI-2041: wrong ecu coding index A_E65MMI: CODIERINDEX = 34h RAD2.C03: CODIERINDEX = 03 >> ERROR! Modul: COAPI2.CPP, Proc: coapiRunCabd, LineNr: 06, ErrorNr: 2041 SG_CODIEREN ERROR! Modul: LFCDHDIA.CPP (A_E65DR.IPS/IPO), Proc: CDHapiResultText, LineNr: 01, ErrorNr: 2000 COAPI-2000: EDIABAS or SGBD error SYS-0005: OBJECT FILE NOT FOUND >> ERROR! Modul: COAPI2.CPP, Proc: coapiRunCabd, LineNr: 06, ErrorNr: 2000 SG_CODIEREN Update: Looks like that "COAPI-2041: wrong ecu coding index" mean that I have to update my DATEN file in NCS. I will try this and let you know. Update 2: I fixed the read/write issue by updating my DATEN files. I did a reset of the radio and now the sound level is perfect. But, I lost the USB and BT no matter if I have the $663, $6FL, $644 and $6nn in my VO. Last edited by woodpecka; 11-19-2012 at 01:34 PM.. |

Guys, I have been able to re-active the BT by changing the MAN file manually. I don't understand why my VO doesn't do the job.
Now I have the BT and USB2 but miss the USB and Voice Command. Anybody can send me his 2RAD or 2URAD MAN file? Cheers |

Hey guys, I have read this whole thread and searched for a bunch of threads but still unsure.. If I have an 08 w/OEM HiFi.. I have bluetooth and sirius radio + the 10 speaker setup.
I want to add usb/ipod connectivity. Is there anything else I need besides : CODING 2010+ head unit w/bluetooth & usb built in USB Plug + wire to connect to head unit? Is that all I need or will that even work? Thanks, Daryl

Let me know how it goes. All option were on the radio but I had to reset it to my car sound level. I lost everything but managed to bring back the USB with the $6fl VO but not the BT with $6nn. I wonder as this radio is recent, if another VO code exist to add the BT.
By playing with the MAN file, I brought back the BT but as I don't have my microphone, I can't confirm that all is working properly. If you have the same issue than me, I can give you my file. |

what was the problem with the sound? do you have a hifi sound?
Did you reset 2RAD? BTW, I noticed they upped the price quite a bit after my purchase, by 100 USD. Only for the FO model |

It would be very nice if you can read and copy the default setup before doing a reset..I would like to know what were the values. Yes I bought the same and notice the cost increaee on his last item...it's crazy! Btw our radio is the new 2urad, not 2rad. |

Depending on the production date of your car, you could need (or not): 61138384550 x1 -> 12 pins Female Connector 61138387206 x1 -> Connector housing But they only cost a few bucks. For USB you still need: 61119129360 x1 -> Coaxial fakra wire for USB 84109237653 x1 -> USB/Aux Socket This cost around 80 bucks Regards.
