I would like to see this as well. Everyone says the N54 makes more peak power with tune + FBO (meth or no meth), and I'm definitely not going to argue it. At the same time, it's a commonly held belief that the power under the (dyno) curve is what's really important. Oddly, there are no N54 vs N55 videos (that I know of) where the cars are set up similarly with the same tune and the same mods (or no mods).

I had to be a pain again but downpipes alone may throw your results off. I believe his gains are a little larger with downpipes than yours, this truly should be something that is left to tune only.

you might've not been one of the first 10 who ordered. The second batch of 15 will ship next thursday or something like that.

N55 JB4 Stage 2
All the reviews for the JB4 Stage 2 sounds great! There is a blurd on there about emmisions and emmisions regulations. Does this stage 2 make that much of a change that I should be worried about it?

I did a couple of pulls with my friend, he has a 2009 335i dinan stage 2 with dinan intake. I have n55 x drive 335i with jb4/dp/cp and intake... It was pretty dead even, now I am sure if he put in Jb4 and DP that I would get smoked.

135 n55 6mt (Jb4,dp,exhaust) Vs 135 n54 auto (jb4, dp, exhaust) From a 40 roll is basically even I have done it over 40 times. * Both map 2*
On our mustang dyno the difference is only about 10-20 hp+ for the n54 but the n55 torque reads about 10-15 higher. |

N55 JB4 Stage 2
Okay, this has turned into a two parter:
1. Has anyone noticed any excessive heat, excessive ware on any of the seals, increased maintenance, higher than normal temps since the install? Thanks for your input. 2. If BMW is selling the 300hp and 300fptq why are most of the dyno results I'm seeing in the 240-260hp and tq range? Last edited by meathead35; 05-22-2012 at 09:56 AM.. |

i think my best run was like 276hp/288tq on a stock N54. would have to go back and look at which kind of dyno it was. |

I am thinking about getting JB4 stage 1 for my 2012 335I F30.
I am looking for reviews from people with previous model 335's. I am just curious if everyone that had JB4 was still happy with it and had no problems...I hear rumors that running JB4 is bad for your engine, but I do not know if that is true or not.. |
