Kobe's won 3, what's your point of what he doesn't understand?

Who has lead the Lakers in assists the last few years?
Who lead the Lakers in assists during the Shaq era? When Kobe averaged 35ppg who on his team was worthy to pass to? Starting lineup of Smush Parker, Luke Walton, Lamar Odom, and Kwame Brown are not going to get it done. You can't get an assist if your teammates don't make a basket. Tony Parker career average assists = 5.1 Kobe = 4.6 Tony Parker this year - 6.1 Kobe - 5.2 I'm sick of so many ignorant fans out there who believe all the media propaganda.

In TeamUSA this year, who was the perfect Teammate? Kobe Bryant. All the players either pointed to him or Jason Kidd as the best teammates. Kobe didn't lead the team in scoring, he wasn't even close. He didn't care about scoring. He chose the role of a defender. He wanted to shutdown the other team's best perimeter player every game. The so called ball-hog/selfish player that is arguably the best scorer in the league didn't care about scoring, he was focused on defense. Why? Because he knew this team didn't need help in scoring.
When the media asks players around the league what they think about Kobe they say he is the best player in the NBA. It isn't even close on how often he is called that. Even Lebron says so. Recently, Lebron says he's #2 and Kobe is #1. Do you ever see the media ask Kobe who is the best player in the NBA? NEVER. Why? Because they already know he is. But they often refuse to say that because they have an agenda against Kobe. They are on the Kobe hate bandwagon. It sells. However, when you ask former players who are in the media who is the best player in the game? They say Kobe is. Kenny Smith, Reggie Miller, Greg Anthony, and Jalen Rose are some of those guys.

You mean when Shaq fouled out in Game 4 against Indiana and Kobe took over? Or in the 4th quarter when Shaq doesn't get the ball because of Hack A Shaq? Or how about when he went off against Philly? Or how about the ally-oop he threw to Shaq during that memorable WCF against Portland?

How may Championships has Kobe won since Shaq left? 0 Why did Shaq leave? Because of Kobe. And how many has Shaq won since leaving? 1 Kobe is a great player, but he's not a great teammate. Fact is if he was, the Lakers would have probably won the 3 that the Spurs won. Maybe he's changed. We'll see...... Like I said, good luck with that. |

Also, I think the Spurs run is coming to an end very soon. To be honest, if they had to play Dallas last year, they probably would've gotten beat. Now for the "hate" comment. If we were talking about the Mavs, yes it would be pretty close to hate, although I think Avery Johnson is one of the classiest guys around, and I really like him. All my posts have been just to annoy you Laker guys, all in fun and for a good debate. With all that being said, I will admit that if the Lakers and Spurs meet in the playoffs, I do hope we kick your butts. Maybe our football teams will meet in the Super Bowl someday.....oh wait, maybe not. Last edited by HEY32G; 02-06-2008 at 11:33 AM.. |

very shrewd move.... Pau will fit in nicely and they will go as far as Bynum's develpment and their D goes. Kwame POS is finally gone.
Now if only my beloved Knicks would rid of their trash, scrap the whole team except Lee and Crawford. |

Sorry, you hate Kobe.
HAHA about football. ouch LA FOOTBALL! Chargers maybe? I'm in South OC, halfway between LA and SD. It'll probably be faster for me to get to a Chargers game than a Raider game if they were still in LA. Anyways, with all that being said, I respect the Spurs and their organization. I always have liked Poprocks and think he's one of the best coaches in the league (top 2 for sure). We'll see you in the playoffs, hopefully for you guys, we're not down with 0.4 in regulation.

Yeah, we were suppose to get the Saints until the NFL blocked it. The players wanted to come here, the owner wanted to come here, and the NFL stepped in and basically said no. People don't realize how close that was to happening. We're the only city that had two NFL owners living and making their billions in it and not have a team. That's so sad that you're clinging to 0.4 seconds. I had forgotten all about that.....Guess I've been too busy going to all the NBA Finals games... |

Anything less than a Western Conference finals appearance this year would be considered a failure. I'll put it on the Lakers to definitely take it next year. Surprisingly before this season started amongst all the Kobe drama, I put 50 bucks on the Lakers to win it all on the Vegas line. Odds at the time you ask? 30:1 - Now things aren't looking to bad...
