Right, so we get ditched while you're in the throes of passion...usually that's 90 days, 180 days....musty be good! Glad you're back!!! You appear to be ignoring your car too, initially you were a high mileage guy, now you're in a low mileage groove! I'm up to 57,000kms already!
Wow, 57,000kms!! That is impressive. My k's are ticking over ok, we replace our cars every 80,000km, so I predict that I have another 18months to go... I have started dreaming already

I am sure it will do 250,000 (or more) without even raising a sweat. Our 80,000 relates to tax laws in Oz which make it attractive for company cars to be replaced then.

So, 250,000km, you will have done that by next week won't you eh?

yeh i thought so too.. no point in the aussie apple retailers holding it off the market till 2008, as people ill just buy overseas and bring them in... so not to worry chris g... i think someone must have been pulling your leg on that release date, it's impossible lol

The news here on channel 9 or 10 said that it was going to arrive in Australia in 2008. But i don't know if that is 100% correct. We tend to get apple products later then the US.

aaple would be doing themselves a favour releasing them here earlier then 2008, as people will just buy them from asia instead

Well, in his keynote address to Macworld (which I watched - all 2 hours of it) he just said that they needed to get FCC approval - 6 months to get that - Apple are so secretive, they didn't even put this through the official channels. Then he said Europe late 2007 with "Asia" in 2008.

He hasn't said Australia, he said Asia, and we are all hoping/assuming that Australia is included.

The problem with buying in the US is that they have an exclusive deal with Cingular - who are their largest mobile carrier. I think the phones will be tied to the network in the US, so buying one on eBay may not work.

I am hoping like hell that they don't tie them to networks here like the Cingular deal, and if they do that Telstra is the supplier they tie to because Telstra supply all our work mobiles, and I want one paid for
