Its probably just a difference in strap tension on the dyno.

I doubt your car feels like it drops off in power like that on the road?

No it doesn't but then I don't have anything to base it off, reference wise so it might be but I just don't know it!

If it pulls harder to the red line than before the remap then you have your answer

Yep, I think it has definitely peaked by 4k.
It's an M57 on a 58 plate so pre LCI
Done 1800 miles since the remap, if anything it feels stronger that the day it was mapped. That or I'm just used to where the power is and know where it lurks at....
A dyno is subjective though and really is an indication of power, if they were compared one run after another with the same weather conditions and air temp / pressure tht would be a more true test. It could be that yours was on the rollers on a hot day perhaps? It was only 4deg ambient when on the rollers at evolve - worth bearing in mind.

No doubt it pulls harder, and I don't even think I've been over 3000rpm I've given it the beans few times in Auto mode but not in the manual.. I'll need to try it higher up the rev range

Same engines then, though yours is probably has the Efficient Dynamics upgrades with the extra horses.

Totally agree about the ambient temps making the dyno results different. My point was merely result on the graph. I guess yours peaks higher mine does lower!

Imran

Is it possible to retain the low speed torque limiter with your software?

Do you retain the factory rev limit?

Thanks

We retain the rev limiter on all diesels. Peak power is well before rev limit so no point extending it.

Can you clarify what you mean by your first question?

It was my understanding that the standard car has the torque limited to limit traction loss when pulling away? Maybe I was miss-informed.

Got my Evolve R cable through a few days ago, read/saved/emailed files and got my remapped version back yesterday.

I was out for an hour or so after, couldn't belive the difference! With the ability to delete errors as well, this has got to be the best value for money upgrade!

Big thanks to all the boys at Evolve, excellent service.

2007 BMW 335d  [10.00]
Newbie here when it comes to re-mapping!! I just bought a 2007 335d from a main dealer and it has a 12 month warranty. If I get my car mapped will I have a problem when it goes to the main dealer for servicing and they plug their machines into it or is this cable thing a method of returning it to the standard map when it's in for service?

Does Evolve R cable work for 2010/07 E87 123d? EDC17 ECU??

If the answer is Yes, how much does it cost shipping to Taiwan.

The software saves the original map and the new altered map. You can switch over at any time (takes 10-15 mins to upload the map) so if you have a dealer visit scheduled, put the standard map on, select the option to read any tuner codes that throw errors, press the delete button to clear them all so no one is any the wiser. (at least thats how it should work )

I have the extended warranty and have had a remap.

^^^Dito this ^^^

Browsed on here at the start of the week, knowing that the evolve crew would be doing some sort of winter deal. £450 including switch swung it for me!
Phoned Imran wednesday morning, switch arrived by courier thursday morning. An hour later I sent the original map by e-mail to evolve, and mid-afternoon the Mod'd map was in my inbox! Another 10 mins and boom! Car Evolved!
Had the Oil Burner out for a spin last night and this morning and yes, can confirm this map is very impressive! DS Engaged, DTC OFF = stretches of road effortlessly eaten up, sometimes frighteningly so! From early impressions, its definitely a smoother power delivery, not as jerky, like the standard set-up can be at times.
Anyone thinking of this, as i was, just go for it. Especially at this price!

Big thanks to Imran and the rest of the Evolve team!

On the subject guys, has anyone with re-map been experimenting with different fuels i.e vpower/bp ultimate, compared to standard diesel fuel, and if so have you noticed any difference in performance etc.
