Hi,
if you are using TV or DVD changer for playing movies, I can unlock your CCC and you will be able to watch movies also while driving. it is software solution only, no additional devices are required. Unfortunately, playing movies from internal CCC DVD drive is not possible due to missing software. |

I'm not sure about you guys, but I just played a DVD in my 09 328i without the parking brake applied. Since I don't park on any hills, I rarely use it. But sure enough, I've played DVDs with the car just in park. Unless I'm clueless as to what an e-brake actually is. :-)

would love to be able to enable this feature on the road. makes it kind of useless to only be usable when parked IMO

I'm sure this is very similar to the issue I ran into with an eclipse AVN2454 in my XTerra. It needed an e-brake feed. The solution others are speaking of about grounding the wire is easy:
Just attach the lead to any piece of metal. Anything that will close the circuit back to that wire will do just fine. The first time I installed the eclipse unit, I literally screwed the wire into the side of the radio. The second time, I used a mounting screw for the stereo mounts. So just find a screw somewhere and screw the wire onto it. |

I have an '09 with iDrive and can play DVD's when stopped, if the eBrake is up (MT). I tried raising the eBrake just one click, which was enough to let me play the DVD but as soon as the car started to move it stopped the video playback and the iDrive message that says the car must be stopped comes up. So all the suggestions that you simply override the eBrake setting will not be enough to let the video display when moving, there is an actual motion sensor as well.

How a friend of mine just got the car and all we could get is the main menu of the DVD, we could not move the cursor or hit enter to play. Can some one do a demo ?
