San Diego california, but can drive up to Los Angeles to help make that list bigger
Gianni F***ing furious I bought this thing 3 months ago and I don't have it, dealer said its a hardware upgrade and not upgradeable... really confused between what a combox/cic and everything is -- i know my car has a hard drive, and everything, but no BMW apps Gianni |

If you ever get anything going near Portland, OR, let me know - I'd need the combox retrofit - sept 2010 delivery HDD based.
Not sure it's worth a 9 hour drive each way to Vancouver but it might be a good summer road trip destination. |

The California GB will be organized in cooperation with Alekshop.
I will have dates for you soon. It will take place in LA area. Here is a thread Aleks started and this is the same GB we are discussing here, so do not sign up there if you are on my list already. All terms, conditions and pricing are the same. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...52#post9459252 |

i maybe interested in just the combox retrofit, but I have a CCC unit.
What additional items do I have to buy to get the combo box retrofit? I'm guessing I need the hardware for the CIC upgrade first right? Also what is actually happening at each location for the group buy? Is someone coming onsite to load the software? thanks |

I will be doing the Florida group buy. I will be updating the CIC firmware, I can also install the combox and 6nr hardware. Patrys will be doing all the necessary coding remotely. |

when you convert the USB under the armrest, and the aux stops working- can I use my ipod Classic to connect to that USB port for cover art, etc - or does it have to be an iphone? Could it be an ipod touch? (does it need iOS?)
I don't like using my iphone for anything other than calls when I'm driving. The snap in kit is a bit of a pain.

The first car in California was retrofitted with our 100% OEM 6NR kit today!
All features including BMW Apps (Facebook, Twitter, Webradio, Pandora), BMW Plugin and Video playback work great. Our OEM 6NR retrofit kit does not require the new base plate and new snap-in adapter - everything works over USB cable!!! Enjoy the pictures |

At least what I can do for sure is enable the SOS calls, so you will be able to call Assist and they will get your location. However enabling full Assist with their services does not depend entirely on me... |
