Wow, you are definitely a fan of the E90 range Will! btw I used your discount code, so you should get your £10 for that, thanks.

I'm not really much of a BMW afficionado, I've only had one other, an E34 Touring, which was a lovely car, the most comfy armchair seats ever!

I've got a series 3 Land Rover, which I put a V8 in and a vintage tractor for my other vehicles.

I wouldn't want anything newer than an E91, because it seems fairly easy to work on, without too many electronics.

Here's another £10 coupon if it is any use to anyone AC122033290

I'll be a bit gutted if I only gain 16mm, but maybe it will make enough of a difference..

It'll be more initially, but should in theory settle to around 16mm. I found that replacing the rear subframe bushings with M3 ones gained almost 10mm rear ride height on my car. But then my original ones were pretty far gone (they were causing/exacerbating tramlining too)

If you want more height see “rough road package”

It basically was some extra spacers on the platform mounts!

Also have you acquired a copy of bmw Ista? This will give you full instructions and torque settings for everything..

All my goodies finally arrived yesterday!

Now I just have to find time to get it all fitted..

I enquired about the rough road package, and also looked for part numbers, but it doesn't seem to be available..

Have to be honest, I can't get my brain around the ista thing, torque settings would be handy, but I have a basic OBD reader for the rest..

Basic obd reader will only give you generic codes from the engine (DDE). It won't talk to any other modules at all.

ISTA is mental, I agree. But worth learning so you can get the factory manuals at least. INPA is super useful too, though also not intuitive! 99% of the time I use bimmergeeks protool; not free but it's a one-time purchase and is super easy and useful. Just need a decent usb-obd cable for it to work

Job done..

I got all the suspension switched ages ago, but never got around to posting, it took a rainy afternoon to get me organised..

It all went pretty well, much easier than I had anticipated. The only thing I don't like so much is that the front wheel arch looks very high above the wheel. I suspect the headlights probably need adjusting as well, but she rides really nicely and is very smooth over the bumps and lumps. The extra ground clearance is great, no more stressing over speedbumps etc.

I had a look at the pipe from the air filter to filler neck and it just crumbled, pretty poor work from BMW!

Garage List
Yes that front ride height certainly looks wrong. Are you sure they supplied you the correct springs?

Looks okay, bet it rides nice! What’s the measurement from the centr of the bmw badge on the wheel to the lip of the wing? Will compare to mine when it was SE spec

If they are the wrong springs I only have myself to blame, I'm pretty sure they were the right ones though. The car does seem to be level, it just has that big gap on the front arch, I will measure when the wife gets back from her trip tomorrow.

They always have a bigger gap at the front than the rear...does look a bit more pronounced here than usual though.
