You don't have a warrenty on your wheels and tires anyways. Maybe if you had wheel and tire insurance you would have something to worry about. Pretty much everyone puts aftermarket wheels on |

Will mods such as Aftermarket Intercooler, Forged DVs or aftermarket oil cooler void warranty?
Anyone with any experience on having these mods and bringing it to the dealership? |

Hey,
Does anyone know the interior leather color and the wood trim of the new 2009 335i pic that are on the web (official pictures). Check out the link below and see if you can tell me what they are. I have my new 335i on order which will go into production sometime in Sept '09 but haven't picked the interior yet. I am get Monaco Blue as my exterior color. Thanks in advance for any help. http://www.bmwblog.com/2008/07/11/20...gh-res-photos/ |

Does changing your shift knob void your warranty? How about putting stickers on your car? Does anyone actually read the previous F'n posts before responding? Jesus Christ, it is all here and straight forward. Don't Fck with your car unless you are willing to pay for it when Sh*t hits the fan.

Worth pointing out is that, even when the law is on your side its an uphill battle. In order to enforce your rights you are granted a private right of action, the right to sue, under the act. So in order to get re-reimbursed for your out of pocket expenses you have to go through the hassle of retaining an attorney, suing, and either settling or winning a judgment that does not get appealed. None of this is cheap, chances are it will be less expensive to fix the car out of pocket. Manufacturers know this, thats why they feel they can act with impunity.

I have a question. Let's say my engine overheats because of my aftermarket intake, and bimmer says they won't fix the problem because it's happening because of the intake that i put in myself and they void the warranty. So does this mean that let's say maybe another time i'll have a problem with let's say my trunk, or my windows does that mean they won't fix that either? Or they will?

I have a 2006 330i, has a warranty until jan 2010 and has almost 40,000 miles now. I think its a little lacking in the power department, so what could i do to it (possibly get it to 335 level of performance?) while still keeping it under warrenty?
Any help would be great Thanks! Andrew |

Yes, because then the dealer doesn't know which model it is, or if it is still a BMW, so they deny warranty service. I wouldn't do it, just risking too much.....

Trading kidney grills is just not hygenic. You don't know where that other grill has been and what you could catch from it. Remember it is the cold and flu season(somewhere) and if you are going to trade grils wear a hat, or maybe a nice scarf or bowtie.

Is it true that if you have an extended warranty through BMW. They are not allowed to print you out a copy of your warranty information because it's confidential and for BMW's eyes only? Anyone ever heard of this. That's what my dealer is telling me.
