i got revived with this price quote

Thanks for your interest in working with At Speed Motorsports. We truly appreciate the opportunity to show you the difference our high quality service really makes. We have performed quite a few suspension upgrades for the 335, as well as just about every other BMW model.

You’d be looking at a total of 7.2 hours to complete the full installation, at our labor rate of $115/hour. You’d also want to have your car aligned after, which would be our standard cost of $210. Because we perform alignments on a variety of street and track cars, we have each of our clients meet with the technician who will be performing the alignment. You can discuss your driving style and what you want out of the car. From there the tech will be able to give a custom alignment to give you the most out of your updated suspension.

Please give me a call at 410-712-4290 or shoot me an email so we can schedule a good time for you to come in.

I look forward to hearing from you, and as I said before, we really appreciate the opportunity to work on your 335.

Best,

Aaron Klimchuk

what do you guys think

There could be an expensive 5-hour lunch during the install.

my guess... suspension for which I was quote a similar amount of time by local shops and did it on my car in about 2 with a friend. One told me about how the rear subframe needed to be dropped.

Tres - I'm assuming you're talking about swapping out to the M3 suspension? if thats the case, 7 hrs would seem about right to me since the subframe needs to be lowered and i believe the exhaust unbolted. plus it takes some time to get those stock bushings out. not sure how they'll get them out though, and unless they can use the special BMW tools to pull out e36/e46 subframe bushings, i don't even think one exists for e92s (they could always torch them out lol).

i know of others that did the same swap and based on what they paid, AtSpeed is cheaper, believe it or not. although i wouldnt pay $210 for a custom alignment b/c i'm sure you want a car that can handle both street/track. if it were a true track only car, then a custom alignment would be the way to go

some of those M3 suspension parts arent that hard to swap yourself, but the main issue would be the bushings IMO.

I guess that 0.2 charged shop time is for your happy ending once they're finished. What kind of suspension were you getting done tres?

Anybody know a black 3.0L Z4 in the Gaithersburg area? I was on my way home from watching a Caps game and he pulled up next to me at the light with his girl in the car and took off when the light went green. He did the same thing at the next light. He was getting annoying so I part throttled it and got next to him and then just went WOT for a couple seconds and put a few cars on him. He turned left at the next light lol

the front and rear m3 parts wishbones tension strut etc i can do it myself the only thing i cant do is remove the bushings but this is just for a coilover install i guess i just have to get off my lazy ass and do it myself

are you saying that AtSpeed wants 7+ hours for a coilover install? if so, thats too much. Clem/Sniz can do it for a lot less
