I know everyone is anxious to see some updates on the NBT retrofit in E-series, and here is a preview for you:

Internal firmware of the Easy (eNBT) Retrofit Adapter can be updated via USB;
Easy (eNBT) Retrofit Adapter includes service functionality such as Video in Motion, NBT Virginization and other. These functions can be selected and activated via iDrive controller.
We are working on the extension of the Easy (eNBT) Retrofit Adapter functionality and once new functions are added, all customers may update their eNBT adapter internal firmware which we will provide free of charge.

The NBT retrofit is available for all E-series: E7x, E6x, E8x, E9x.

Please see our latest video for more updates.
This is a demonstration of the NBT retrofit in 2010 E71.

Since it's a different head unit, CID, and possibly iDrive controller, will all this new equipment fit in existing E90 faceplates and trim/console panels without modifications, or will there be some cutting/grinding required?

How is the front panel of CCC/CIC unit then connected to NBT? There is one flat cable which connects front panel and CCC unit.. is this same cable used? ANd how is thi front panel fixed/mounted to the NBT unit?

1. Our eNBT Retrofit Adapter includes the flat cable already, so you do not need to worry about that.

2. Front panel attached to the front faceplate, not the NBT head unit itself.

3. Front panel from CCC cannot be used. You need to have front panel from CIC.

Does the kit come with the cable to connect the display to the NBT head unit, or does it use the CIC cable that must be provided by the customer?

Also, does it include the large combo connector for the back of the head unit, and I presume pin-out wiring instructions or adapter to connect to the E90 heat unit wiring?
