This is why I love forums so much, someone always has the same problem and figures out an easy way and simple way to fix it and shares it with others so we don't have to visit the stealership.
This saved me time and money. Thanks |

Dude, you are the MAN! My stupid sunroof wouldn't close and was going to take it to a shop for them to look at. What a simple fix! Thanks man!

Thanks for the fix! I thought I had a real problem, I tried initializing the roof and kept getting the fault code. It wasn't until I let the sunshade fully close to complete the cycle that the fault cleared. Thanks again from a new member/ new owner.

omg this method works. i was trying to hardwire my radar detector by piggybacking a power wire from the overhead cubby. after plugging everything in my runroof was malfunctioning.
you saved my ass thank you so much. oh and for my 2008 e92 335i, I had to lock the car. Unlock, then IMMEDIATELY press the runroof (tilt) button and hold it for 30 seconds. |

reviving this thread.
Hi all, Got that sunroof antitrap warning on my 2010 e92. I know how to reconfigure it but currently the tilt function does not work so I cannot reconfigure it. According to the fuse map, #25 #29 #62 are the fuses for the sunroof. #29 currently has no fuse and fuse #25 #62 were ok but I replaced them anyway but still a no go. Has this happened to anyone? Does anyone know why my tilt isn't working? Then I push the sun roof button forward and backward I do hear a click about a second after, but I don't hear anything when pressing the tilt function. Could it be my battery? I doubt the motor crapped out because it was working perfectly fine before storage. Thanks! |

Had to do this on our wagon. It was pretty funny watching the two sunroofs finding their travel limits.
