Shiv,

What are your thoughts about the TQ Curve with this new updated firmware and software map? I currently have the old map v2.0.2 (12-11-07) set at 94% across the board. Can I load up the new firmware and map today and automatically set the TQ Curve back to 94% or do I have to go through the entire process again (default TQ Curve settings first for the first 50 miles, etc.)?

btw -- I have not had any problems with the current v2.0.2 (12-11-07) map; should I just keep it as is and wait for v2.0.3?????

Thank you.

Just tested the map and its definately alot more torque at the low end...It feels very similar to the V1.47 but no sudden surge of power...Power is very linear and its feels awesome...So far no limp mode going from 2nd to third gear redline!! Its definately feels much better than the previous map...One time i did feel a slip in the car when i took off from a stop...felt like the car sputtered for a second...I don't know what that was but will see..

You should definately download this map...For what it is worth i used the same torque settings i had with the V2.02 map and the values were very similar with the new map...I have yet to log a run from 3rd to 4th up to redline because in Brooklyn during the day is suicidal!!!

Yes, the User TQ settings can be kept the same as previous versions of v2.0.2. You may notice a little bit more boost in the low end (3000-3500rpm) and a bit less boost taper up top (5500-7000rpm). But peak boost pressure shouldn't change.

Update -- downloaded the new, updated firmware and v2.0.2 12-19-07 map; took my car for a quick spin, and although I only got to go WOT/redline in 2nd gear, I can definitely feel more TQ down low (compared with the v2.0.2 AT 12-11-07 map)!!!!. Thanks, Shiv. No limp mode and no problems so far in my limited testing; will test further tomorrow in 3rd gear.

btw -- I have my TQ Curve set at 94% across the board as I did before.

Shiv, I never had issue with limp mode or CEL with the procede, version 1 or 2. Anyway, I have a question as I did this for all my previous map, I never did the mandatory 45 minutes negative terminal removal. I load all the maps fine and it seem to run fine all the time. Is this OK? Or am I sacrificing some power here.

OK, just want to double check to make sure I did all the firmware and downloads correctly.

I downloaded the v2.0.2 12-19 file along with the updated firmware that shows as pro01v03beta1.bin on the icon on my desktop.

Then on the PROcede user software I clicked on
"Firmware Update"
then choose the firmware I just downloaded from my desktop.
it asked me if I wanted to replace the old firware, I click OK and then it started to update the new firmware.
When complete I double checked by clicking on the Comms pull down file and clicking on "Firmware Info"

The little window pops up that says:

Pde_v1_0 in the tool bar and then says:
Firmware Series No: 103, Firmware Version Info: 201

Is this the correct newest firmware?

I then proceded to click open File and new map.
Selected the v2-1.0.2 12-19 speed limit.pcd file from my desktop.
Clicked OK.

It then showed uploading file at the bottom. When it got to 100% I clicked OK again.

At that point in the top tool bar of the PROcede user software it read:
v2-1.0.2 12-19 Speed Limit.pcd

I then opened the user adjustable torque settings and noticed they were all at the default user settings of 90.1xxxx%

Can someone (or Shiv) confirm that I did in fact update to the newest firmware and newest map correctly?

Thanks

Yes, If you don't update the firmware, you wouldn't even be able to load the 12-19 map.

That's right. Every time I have ever tried to update the firmware it always gets stuck on resetting the ECU. Then it goes into "boot mode" and i have to try again and again. Eventually it gets stuck on rebooting, but when I shut it off and reconnect it is loaded. Very annoying.

Well, I guess I did it right, because when it said it was "resetting the ECU" it did not get stuck. It just took a few seconds and all was well.

Glad I did it correctly.

Will give the new map a run tomorrow and see the results, then dial back up the torque settings a bit.

Shiv,

When will you be doing V2.3?

Wanna do a dyno soon and figure better to wait till the final map before spending the cash.

Thanks,

S

Lucky you, mine got stuck (waited several minutes) all of 5 times before it got stuck the last time but didn't go into "boot mode" glad to know it's only a few seconds to reboot and it really was stuck (and that I'm not insane).

If it was then there would be problems logging which likely uses much, much more bandwidth.
