Any ideas on whether the foam does strip zymol? I imagine it would do
This?

It does say it won't strip the wax. I think a Gilmour would be particularly suited to winter use or when the car is particularly filthy.

No no... it was a valid point Ben. These sorts of cleaners must have some sort of 'burning' properties as it does have the irritant symbol on the bottle:

I must admit that I've never clayed a car, despite laying in some clay and lube. I might have a go on someone else's in the family first just to try it. As others have said, it just seems to damned scary!
Thanks Matt.

5* thread.
Cheers Paul.

I'd never have bothered finding out more about claying, had you not showed me the clay bar at UK4, so thanks for that.

Viv will testify to it's effectiveness from UK4...
It worked very well, Matt.

I'll get round to buying some soon.

John is the guy that runs it and has done a few detailing days for other forums so as long as the numbers were there we could maybe get a meet up and running.
I was thinking of sorting something out for UK5, Scott.

I'll have to have words with you about it.

Thanks Ben.

Right boys & Helen, I've got a new iMac to play with now, so I'll continue on that.

All the best.

and for the final touch for the lazy people like me.

http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/S...?ProductId=451

For the final rinse attach to the hose pipe and no need to dry the car.

Comes out with an almost spot free finish with no effort. Go for the 30ppm in the South East's hard water.
