Hi, why don't you pay a visit to your local dealership to find out through your car VIN number, if the recall is for your car too? They will be able to find out by checking the VIN number. ...

Chain snapped after recall
Hi all,
I had my car fixed through this recall 1 year 9 month ago. Only the tensioner was changed. The chains were good. Now, 1 year 9 month and 22.000km later: The chain snapped. Great. In the first attempt BMW refused to carry any of the repair costs, which I find strange since they green-lighed the chains not too long time ago. Anybody else has tried having the snapped chain after the recall? Any advice would be appreciated. BMW 520d E61, N47, 2007. |

35k later. Chain jumped/ snapped and mechanic said it will have to be done again (different dealership). Now what. Awaiting main dealer reply to see if BMW are offering any warranty after recall was complete. |
