Hi RD Sport & Cntlaw,

How about Kai Tak OGC Golf City. Free packing, great view and spacious. From there on, we take the old airport tunnel to No 3 Highway. There's only 1 traffic light standing in our way!!!

Hi guys,

Thanks for your suggestions. It does keep me going

Agreed that the first time should be a day time meet for better photos etc... and maybe we can plan for different activites in the future ex: night drives, BBQ etc....

I am not sure if I can lead the cars because I am not too familier with all the roads in HK so maybe the member who has the best knowledge of the route can take the lead each time.

So, I think we will take cntlaw's suggested route from TST area to airport bridge view point for the first meet, nice scenary to match our E90s!

Good job, guys!

Regarding traffic control, I suggest we use walkie-talkie. It is really useful & fun indeed as everybody can listen to one another at the same time. I can borrow a set of 4 Motorola walkie-talkies from a friend of mine if necessary. Let's keep rolling.... :rocks:

Thanks ray for keeping it rolling! Yes, walkie may be a good idea. I think the lead car and the "guard" car will need them.

So, now. Any suggested date?

Of course I prefer to be in early Mar when my E90 is ready. Otherwise, I'll just be shamed to join with my E36....

Sure. Eventually we will have a full E90 lineup (I think only 2020 and you are the most likely without E90 by the first meet). We will wait for a bit and gather more HK members. Then we can decide when. Hopefully we can have 10 cars to start with for the first meet.

Can't wait!

Thanks for your kind offer, ray! Sure you can be our photographer

Now seems everything is going smoothly. We have 9 cars at this moment, we know where and what we are gonna do for our first meet. Just need more members so that we can decide on the exact date and then off we go!

Its great to see bunch from HK, I was borned and raised in HK until I moved to Los Angeles in 79. Now live in...tada...Kentucky, USA.

Just took delivery of my 06 330i in Sparkling Grey, sport pk, premium pk and cold weather and a 06 X5 4.4i. I absolutely love the E90 more than my, now traded to the dealer at a substantial lost, 2000 E46.

Wish I can be there to share the fun.

Thanks RDsport, very informative and much to learn about the E90. I have to say the E90 is much more refine than the E46. Maybe when the wife decided to take a trip to Hong Kong again, I will be able to meet up with you guys.

I reading some post here and it seems to me that getting a E90 takes a long time in HK. Mine was ordered, built, delivered in 4 weeks. That was really the dealer stretching my time b/c I didn't want to take delivery before the 2nd of the new year (no property tax after the 1 st day of Jan in the new year).

You are right. I ordered my 323i in the first week of Dec. The dealer told me that I was lucky enough to catch the Jan made batch but, don't know why, delivery will only be in late Feb or early March.

Yes, local demand here is usually huge for any new models.

HI Raychkg,

Not sure if this is true, the BMW sales guy told me that South Africa would have "long holidays" in January which would invariably affect the production schedule

Hi all,

It is nice to see a group of E90 fanatics in Hong Kong. I was about to order the E90 330i when it came out, but ended up bought a E60 instead.

On behalf of the Hong Kong E60 group, just want to say "hi" to all the E90 owners in our beautiful city. You guys are very welcome to drop by our "home" in http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=3601

Hi mic325,

I was about to buy a E60 530i at the beginning but end up with 330i instead because it's new design and more fun in corners. The E60 is much more bigger and comfy and the design is very nice!
