It is bad news that Steve Dinan has left the company. If only he would have made a successful formula similar to the German tuners as Ac Schnitzer, Hartge or G- Power or Alpina, would be proud of your company.
He gave up too soon. I remember 17 years ago some reports of some magazines known European Car or Motor Trend where they announced the great work performance by Dinan to the BMW, and that seems to be in the past. Dinan now appears to be dead. |

I'm sure he made a good decision.

My thoughts exactly. Hasn't been relevant for 10 years. They're a marketing company now.

It has been surviving under its corporate masters. Think of beats and dr dre working apple. Now think if dr dre went off to do something else and left beats by dre. That's essentially what's going on here.

I really like the company also. They researched and engineered products that improved performance, not products that added a bold faced name to show under your hood. I do wonder about the "passion" leaving the company. Hopefully, he created a culture that will remain for at least a few years and hopefully not become just another manufacturing company providing parts with a bold faced name. John |

Perfect opportunity for someone like Turner to step up and do something amazing.

You mean not relevant to HIS company since he was above it all so to speak and those under him managed the day to day. And Dinan is more of a private label/corporate entity now agreed. Obviously Mr. Ganassi thinks he is VERY relevant to making all of his cars go faster. And Chip Ganassi doesn't F around when it comes to racing.

I have a lot of $$ tied up in Dinan upgrades to a Z4 (tune) and an M5 (suspension and tune). I'm happy with the results and hope this doesn't mean the end of the brand. My M5 especially is a different car than it was pre-mods. Participating in track days is a ball with the extra power and stiffer legs. It's still heavy, and I get passed in the turns by the folks driving M3/M4/P-Car, but it's still fun and no one has been able to out accelerate me on the straights. Best of luck to Mr. Dinan (and I do hope the new owners relent a bit on price...)

Good news lol
Just like most of you, I'm not impressed with this company.

Oh, and three more words: "fifty state legal." Good luck with anything other than Dinan. You'll need it.

Maybe they can change their slogan:
Dinan - anything else is just a hack.
