I too see this as being an issue for me. I have an iPhone on ATT w/ unlimited data which means no tethering for me.

My car has been to the dealer quite a few times in the last few months so I am constantly installing and uninstalling my accessport. Its in the shop right now as a matter of fact.

Is it possible to program the app to allow uninstallation from the ECU at any time and expire all other features after 24 hours?

I'm trying to buy cables in bulk so I can offer them at a discount with OTG cable. Until them, try this.

Day 1: MHD state 2 tune runs great! Car is feeling better than ever.

Day 2: Start logging....boom. Coil goes bad.

Will install new coil and new plugs and report back Saturday!

Day 2 of tune, Realizing it can datalog as many times as you want and save to phone! I dont need to log once and offload it to continue logging.

Finding misfire on 4 is concerning me. Time for a coil pack. Recently had valves cleaned, all new plugs.

Power is smooth.

Odd. My car was running fine and now I have a cyl 4 misfire too.

Clears cel's with car running.

For what its worth I was getting a random cyl 4 misfire with my last tuner.

Did some screwing around, only triggers CEL/misfire when it redlines 7000rpm. In Auto mode my car is hanging real hard when it should be shifting. Sport mode seems to fix it if I shift out early 6000 give or take. I think its a torque request value to high in the rpm band causing the transmission to second guess the shift. The Q team will fix it.

Even though this is a Google verification not so much the android device. You would need to be on some type of internet for it to re-verify your ownership. I use my phone, but even when I change to my tablet for this, I can still use the wifi hotspot from my phone for this. Only takes a second.

Start a hotspot on your phone....would it really matter? Obviously there is another underlying issue with your car that your getting limp mode.
