As an Audi S5 owner I can say that the 335i is a very capable car and a credit to the BMW range, is it better than a S5? Well in my opinion it's not but that is not to say it an worse, it's performance is all but equal, in the dry the two cars are very even but the only areas for me where the Audi wins hands down is looks, especially the interior, oh yeah and all weather ability which it only really has an advantage over the rwd car as there is a Xi version in some countries.

The only area where I might disagree is the non bashing Audis bit, people like T-Bone and E90ice usually start it and then everyone else jumps in. Out of interest I have check other forums which are Audi and in them you get guys like T-Bone and E90ice there too but on the whole I see guys which appericate cars just like your self.

Here's one example of fair rating.

http://www.rs6.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14386

and here's another site worth checking.

http://forums.audiworld.com/A5/

I think if you check hard enough you will see what you want to see.

Well said..

as for the S5.. I do envy the way it looks the main thing i favor over the s5 in my car is the n54 motor's tunability, but i love the looks inside and out of the s5.. it's a gorgeous car.

Here's even more examples of how Audi drivers regard the 335i and again it's all good.

http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=...wtopic&t=64141

I think the problem with some people is they are a sucker for the BS marketing that car manufacturers say and believe it all so completely. I have driven lots of different brands over the years and each has plus and minus points, but for me at least BMW and Audi provide the best balance of merits. To me the Audi is the best to live with, it's got the best interior and all weather capability while the BMW has the best chassis for entertainment, fun and economy (less wheels being driven).

If only they could combined the great things about each into one car then I would be laughing.

BMW does more with 1 wheel and Audi does with 4 Even with 4 wheels driving, it cannot explain how Audis understeer into trees. How is that bashing?

Giving Audis praise? Ha!

More like dissing Audis whenever they're matched up to BMs.

It's true, compared to BMW, Audi performance is inferior. Has nothing to do with bias.

Nuff said.

in my opinion, newer Audi's look better and have better interiors than BMW's. they also have a better 4wd system for people that need it in the snow. on everything else(aka the shit that matters), BMW is better. its all personal preference.

I'm a former B6 A4 and B6 S4 driver and recently moved over to a 335 coupe so I still frequent the Audi message boards. It's funny how there's so much hating going on over there. Meanwhile the stereotype is that BMW drivers are the A-Holes. Since I've started reading/posting on E90post, I've seen you guys give Audi so much praise.. especially the S5. Am I missing something here?!

I always give credit where it's due... I think I finally understand the true meaning of fanboyism.. although I hate the term..

Also, notice the post about a B6 S4 walking 3 or 4 different 335s.. stock even.. not really sure how that's possible coming from an S4.. lol

Hope this isn't in the wrong forum.. my apologies if it is.. Just wanted to share my thoughts with you all I guess all you can really do is sit back and laugh
Audizine is that way from time to time. I am "ultrasport steve" over there.

+100,000 I Was almost immediatly dissappointed in my B7 S4 25th anniversary. I took it to the canyons the first night I got it and that fucker felt like an SUV it understeered like mad. I had almost traded in my 545i at the time for it thinking it would be faster and nicer but I was utterly wrong. Then after only 240miles on the clock that POS Audi broke and wouldn't start luckily for me God saved me and the dealer asked me to resign with a different bank I took that mofo str8 to the dealer on a flat bed left it on the lot and throw the keyes back in it and said good riddance. I will Never again waste my time on an Audi. They look nice thats about it everything else about them is .The only Audi owners that should even have the guts to talk about the 335 are B5 S4 owners with modified engines other then that they should really not talk .

That's Right Kemiksiz! There are Audi owners with respect for bimmers among us. Hopefully I'll be one soon! The S5 grows on me more and more each day......Probably because it's a naturally aspirated 335 w/a different badge. If the 335is were naturally aspirated I would've bought one in a heartbeat...but the fact some were built without oil coolers pissed me off because ::Turbos w/o oilcoolers = ::. I'm not the biggest fan of turbos after the Twin-Turbo 850i Chronicles where keeping the car cool became a pain in my a$$hole .

But I know a ton a folks love the Turbo Bimmers and I got love for yal!

I guess I'm a different breed...an unusual one since most people in their early twenties drool over Turbos on anything
