I bought the exact same one as Tony did. Works for my 07.

If anyone wants a cheap USB OTG cable and isn't in a rush, you can get this one here for 19 cents. DELIVERED.

I got a new phone yesterday because my old one was completely screwed. So i thought I'd get the new flashy Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. FYI Samsung has decided to remove USB OTG support from their latest flagship phone. Go figure. It has it on the S5! Which means i can no longer just run JB4 app, BMWhat or MHD Flasher. Will have to use my old phone. I guess ill just keep it in the glove box. So just a quick heads up for those considering an S6

Socket, you know how you posted a pic of your cable and said this arrived and you didn't know what it was or why you got it?

I wanna remind you that somewhere on this forum possibly this thread, you said you ordered a tablet from Amazon. Did you forget?

For generic tablets, I'd like to help point out a few things. Some tablets do NOT support the Google Play Store an run other shitty app stores, meaning you won't be able to download JB4 app, BMWhat or MHD Flasher.

Secondly, choose one that uses a standard micro USB charging port so you can get a cheap car charger. Majority of these cheapo ones use a 2mm female style plug.

And obviously it must support USB OTG. Usually when there's a USB OTG cable included in the box, that's a good sign it supports it.

I would personally buy a really cheap second hand 7 inch Samsung tablet. I scored a free one that arrives soon. Also got a tablet holder that mounts to the seat rail bolt

I really wanted the s6 edge but, they lost the waterproofing, which has saved my s5 like 10 times, lost otg it seems, lost removable battery. Such a shame.

Umm, I have no issues and I've got the Edge.

JB4 via Blutooth
MHD via USB OTG, I haven't flashed anything but its reading and connnecting, able to scroll through menues and look at the availble flash files

really?! That's good news! I tried connecting last night with the same cables. Worked with my old phone. Then tried with the S6 edge and it didn't connect any of them. Then I did a quick google and a website showed S6 Edge with no USB OTG connection. It must just be a shitty USB OTG cable then that I have and also the website had.

This was the first link that I got in my search

http://www.techradar.com/au/news/pho...axy-s6-1292094

I'll have to go and buy another OTG cable!

Thanks Tony! Seemed stupid to remove USB OTG

If you're serious, I can use mine for you - and if you like it you can get it at JB for $68.

All it has to do is run the app. The tablet is crap, screen is crap, battery is crap, processing power is crap.

Still it runs the app and flashes, logs, reads codes 100% perfect.

Its a polaroid 7" tablet from JB hifi. It's the cheapest android tablet that mentioned OTG cable compatibility.

https://www.jbhifi.com.au/computers-...tablet/631060/

Obviously if you have any samsung or other android devices, use them instead. If not, then $68 is cheap enough.

Edit: wtf... it's now $88. stuff that, get a $30 tablet from Amazon.

I had a custom tune from someone before and I was seriously very disappointed with only 322kw atw with E60 and RBs and hitting 19psi max. I was told it could be dialed in with some dyno time and running map 6. My issue was that I wanted an E85 map and a pump map that could be switched instantly. The only option with this custom flash was reflashing between my custom E60 map and the BMS pump backend, which took 18 minutes each time.

I am now running new custom maps from Ken at Wedge Performance. I told him my specs and right off the bat, my base tune felt incredible! I asked for a pump map and an E60 map. Below is a datalog of the pump map although I am still running my tank of E30 out. Was told it was safe to do so and the logs show no major issues with the pump flash on E30. Seat of the pants feel is COMPLETELY different from my previous tune or BMS backend. The car hauls ass SO much harder. Seeing 21.1 psi max! I can't wait to run the E60 map and chuck her on the dyno! The best part is that with these two maps and the MHD flasher, it only takes two minutes to change between maps.

Ken looked at my logs and said there aren't any changes necessary, but guys who know more about reading logs, could you please have a look and check them out? In my haste, I didn't get all the correct parameters logged as well.

I honestly would have persevered with the original tuner, but it was too much of a hassle to get quicker flashing. This MHD Flasher has been awesome for me. I have now removed the JB4 completely, so that's another bonus, as I can sell it!

Also, I got a free tablet from someone who works at Samsung. I asked for any 7 inch but I got a Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 instead. I don't know what that is or what the specs are, but beggars can't be choosers. It's a bit larger than what I wanted, but luckily it fit the cradle I purchased.

The cradle is mounted by simply loosening the front torx bolt from the passenger right hand seat rail, then slipping the bracket under the bolt head and tightening it up again. The bendy arm thing is VERY solid and stiff and takes a fair bit of effort to bend it into place, so it is definitely not flimsy and the tablet, phone won't wobble around like a couple of my other brackets.

I now use this as my phone holder as well. Got this on eBay for $40 delivered. Links and pics below. Highly recommend this if you wanna use the digital gauges and logging with the MHD Monitor license.
