Based on the initial pictures, it is not that appealing from the outside, but as others have mentioned it would need to be seen in person as camera angles can be deceiving.
I've owned one Infiniti, an M56 S. Bought brand new, kept it for one year and got rid of it. Not because of any real mechanical issues with the car, although the new DI engine did spew a great deal of carbon/black exhaust on the rear of the car which stood out on the white exterior. Infiniti, for whatever reason put black light covers over the foot well lights on the M models even though there was a light bulb under them burning. The local dealership didn't have a clue they were that way or why Infiniti did it, but they were polite enough to order the clear lenses and replace them so the foot well lights were useable. When I inquired to InfinitiUSA customer service I got a very PR worded response that basically said we don't know why they're that way and we don't care. After that the car was gone within a month.

It's a pretty safe bet that the TT V6 will make it into the next gen of the Z car. Probably go back to calling it a 300ZX.

Lexus' biggest problem is that its signature elements are themselves hideous. The front grille is horrible. The thing that on the BMW is the Hofmesiter kink makes the side view look like gingerbread.
Lexus needs new design "language." Right now it's saying "UGLY ."

Owned an 05 g35 6mt coupe for 10 years. That was a great looking, reliable car with excellent performance.
Never bought a g37 because I never loved the looks as much as the g35. The q60 just got worse. Will love to see more pictures. However, no manual transmission is a deal breaker for me but it might be fun to drive. |

I'm not feeling that at all. I tend to take a while to warm up to cars after a major redesign. I owned a first gen G35 coupe and I loved it. I was lukewarm and the 2nd gen. I really hope this looks better in person.

The was nothing quite like the G35, it was a true 3-series competitor, and was "unisex" in design. It's design combined to look both hard and soft in appearance, with it being - most importantly - complimentary to both men and woman drivers, aka the entire market of consumers. Think about it.....ladies first: See an attractive lady driving solo in a G35? You think Hmm; looks good. I like. In other words, think lean, fit, and athletic; has muscles but is quite feminine (Transation: HOT!) at the same time. A guy by himself? You never think: He bought a damn chick car?? Does he like guys? Whatever floats your boat, dude. Then comes the G37. Sharp lines have been smoothed out and the design starts to lean feminine, and though not too much, point is........it begins to begin to move away from the 50-50 vibe it used to give off to consumers. Still, I considered upgrading my G35; wasn't too girly to this dude's eyes. Next, the stupid badge changes come to the Infiniti lineup and we the Q60. Not a bad design, but was not immediately pleasing to the eye. And while I could own one, the loss of the sporty driving feel has me looking to other manufacturers. Oddly, instead of improving upon the sporty platform to overtake the 3-series, maybe losing some curb weight from the G37 (about 150# heavier than the G35 coupe), add a smidge more power from the VQ37.........they go more luxury, less sport, and to a generally nondescript model. Does nothing in particular outstandingly well, while Lexus, Caddy, and (lately) the Jaguar XE all go "3-series sporty". This new coupe? From some angles not so bad, from others, kinda quirky like the sedan. Uh, what is with the bottom of the C-pillar?? Must it zig-zag? Also seems to have some C-Class coupe-ness from the rear; not totally surprising considering the alliance. So we'll see how the market accepts it. Hopefully it returns its sporty roots. |

I still say that this car is f****** genius! Not only is it gorgeous from every angle including the inside/interior, it WILL have an all-new 400hp Twin-Turbo & 350lb/ft of twist w/ a 7-spd tranny rear & all-wheel drive available.

It'll probably also only be available in automatic, which is a deal killer for a bunch of people.

It's confirmed 7AT only, already. the 3.0TT V6 will come in two states of tune- 400hp, and 300p.
I'm curious to see what it costs and how it performs. If the 400hp model undercuts the M4 nicely, it could be worthy of consideration. |

While I understand that at this point, AT is faster than anything I can shift, I still prefer MT, and thus, this is a deal killer for me.
