Wow, thats a very interesting design.
Do the E90 angel eye bulbs just point up?
Anyone have any pictures of this mount - bulb connection area?

The bulbs don't point up, but it shoots it to the fiber cable or whatever cable it is, and the light follows the cable to the angel eyes.

Anyways, I just got more pictures of the ring and the people who installed them say it's bright but the pics don't show it.

Some research has found these:

http://shop.store.yahoo.com/ledsupply/io.html

These are 8 bucks on the site and available in 35 and 70 degree light output angles.

Current problem is looks like these guys get pretty hot.

The Io Moon LED Light Module consists of a printed circuit board, containing the Nichia Jupiter™ LED, bonded to an aluminum plate using a proprietry thermal management technique.

The Io Moon LED Light Module is 1.00" square and has two mounting holes for standard #4 screws. Electrical isolation allows the Io Moon to be mounted directly to a heat-sink surface.

The Io will operate safely in free air (all surfaces exposed to air) at the recommended operating current of 350mA. For operation at higher currents, the module should be attached to additional heat sinking.

The Io Moon is available in cool and warm white, and with primary optics producing 35° and 70° beam widths.

The Moon board above uses the Jupiter LED used in this flashlight:
http://www.j2ledflashlight.com/Auror...iaJupiter.html

Looks pretty powerful.

Its not a chip, its just a mount. If you look at the quoted part, you'll see it mentions as a 1" x 1" base for the LED.

another update on the Brex white ring.

Additional pics of the white ring (most e60 brex/piaa angel eye kits are dark, and the manufacturers exaggerate the pics as being bright, but for e90 there's quite a lot of pics online which proves them to be as bright as OEM)

this time with 6200K PIAA lights. these things cost 70k yen! that's like almost 700 bux. crazy stuff.

Hey pare! here's a link....arqray. Click on the "aero" link then click on "products for e90" and you'll see the pics. They look very similar to BMW's carbon fiber splitters.

both images are arqray lips.

OEM Carbon fiber lip

You can't purchase the whole xenon headlights from the website,
but I know you can purchase them on ebay shipped from europe for about 1500 bux.

The Arqray front lip look very different than the OEM CF lips in person.
IMO i prefer the arqray.

Anyone know a lot about electronics to confirm / deny any of my previous thoughts?

I just received the brex white ring kit and OSRAM 6000k D1S bulbs.
It sucks that I can't just install them right away.

brex white ring + OSRAM 6000k D1S bulbs = $550 (shipping, import tax and all). Crazy stuff, but I really wanted to do it.

Yesterday when i was at a restaurant the vallet parking guy parked my car on the road for a moment and another car hit my car. Now I need to replace my bumper and the left light got broken, so I have to wait almost a week to get them replaced.

My Kerscher bumper kit (bumper, HID, carbon spoiler) is coming next week as well, so if I only needed to replace my bumper, I wouldn't have cared at all. But now I have to wait a damn week since the service center doesn't have any xenon lights in stock.

I might just install the white ring and OSRAM bulbs just to see how it looks like. I'll keep you guys posted.

How bad is your Xenon messed up?
Can you get it from the shop and send it to me?

I want to see if I can come up with a less expensive alternative to the Brex kit.
