Looks like this guy has done it (), including soft close.. Might want to reach out to him to see if he can give you hints. I'm curious was thinking about doing this as well on mine.

I don't think there would be any coding. My F10 has it and it's something that just happens when you softly close the door. I'm guessing it would be as simple as getting new door latches and a power source which is probably already in the door. Probably fairly simple to do and I might look into it for my E93.

I looked into this when I bought my non-CA 328i. You have most of the parts down correctly, the only big issue is the BMW VO change for the new key. There's someone over on b m w c o d I n g forum with a contact in Europe that can do this. Someone on that forum with an E60 successfully did it.
I'm extremely keen on this retrofit so I hope you have success! I'd love to have it on my car, my E92 did and I sorely miss that feature the most. |

FYI I had to order a replacement key fob and metal key for my E93 I was tempted to get CA fob in case I decided to retrofit CA in the future and also since I had to replace the rechargeable soldered battery in my old E92 i figured the non-rechargeable battery in the CA fob would be easier to deal with, long story short, all the online bmw parts stores I checked with were willing to sell me the CA fob. A CA fob will work in a non-CA car and brand new blank fobs get married to the CAS module on first use, therefore any fob will work as long as its a brand new blank fob.

I also found on ebay that there are virgin key fobs with CA. I think being sold for $135. So if what you say stands all we need is someone who can code or marry the Virgin keys to the CAS. Right now I am trying to get the wiring harness or figure out a way to make it. |

You don't. Virgin keys get married to the CAS (and your car) automatically on first use when you put it in the slot. Actually the only reason I had to give them my VIN was to verify ownership and for my metal key.

Ok so I stand corrected. I need someone to code the CA feature into my car then.

I still not having luck in finding a comfort access wiring access or any information on how to build it.....I was trying to see what makes a CA wiring access. The obvious is the antenna need connectors....and the module...somehow there must be more to it
If anyone has any pictures or information please share |

Thanks FHE92, so it seems that the Comfort access wiring harness consist of wires to the 4 antennas, the CAS, the door handles and the Passive Module. I need to find out now what terminals, plugs I need to buy and also what wire gauge and I will try to build it.
I am having no luck in finding a CA wiring harness for sale. On another note, I found some who will be able to get me the Key from BMW Germany. Its all down now to the CA wiring harness
