![]() IMHO you should not put any engine mod on a new car for at LEAST 750 miles. and i would not track a new car AT LEAST for the first 900 to 1,000 miles. note that i only added an IC and sways at approx 500 miles, engine mods started at approx 1,100 miles, and tracking the car was at 1,200 miles....first oil change: the day after i tracked it. ![]() unless you are planning on selling your car within 3 years, for the break in i would baby that baby. ![]() just my 2 cents

Hey I finally installed the UR CAI tonight and it fit great!
![]() The CAI was nowhere near the frame so I didn't install the foam pad. I have a couple of questions for you guys with the UR CAI and the Forge DVs. 1. The CAI touches the corner of the front DV. I tried loosening the hose clamp on the DV hose and tuning it, but no matter what I do it still touches it. Did anyone else have this issue and if so, what did you do about it (if anything)? 2. Either the three wiring wiring looms that you detach from the stock airbox, or the rear DV hose will touch the CAI all the time. I didn't like the idea of the factory wiring looms plastic melting, so I ran the DV hose between the looms and the CAI (the photo above is before I did this), so now the DV hose touches the CAI. Did you guys have this issue too and is it a problem? Does the CAI get hot enough to melt the plastic and/or wiring harness or the DV hose? Thanks! ![]() |
