N54 335 spark plug change at 17k... Looking for an opinion.

when will bmw replace the plug under warranty? or will they ever in our 50k base warranty?

Thanks for the pictures Sam - Did you get your socket from Turner Motor Sports or is that the Snap On socket?

Is it indeed a 14 mm, 12 point thin wall socket?

N54 plugs are supposed to be replaced @ 45K...other motors @ 100K. (It's in the maintenance manual that came with the car).

You may have to gently "remind" your SA when you hit that 45K mark.

Are the OEM plugs gapless plug and play? Seems like just a specialized spark plug socket will do the job. Please verify thanks.
