auto fold is what I wanted also but they're quite rare and demand higher $ (If you dont have autofold mirrors apparently you need the interior switches etc also)

Also check if they're the shadowline mirrors or the matte look (the trim area of the mirrors the glossy shadowlines demand a higher price)

They are autofold, auto dim, flat black for the non cover part.

Yeah i would need to source the interior switch.

Think ill pass for now, need to save cash for a move.

Make sure you do your research thoroughly guys, I retrofitted auto folding mirrors to my E82 and it's not a simple swap over of mirrors and interior switch. I had to purchase both entire door wiring harnesses, re-pin a few connectors, then code.

Hopefully E9x is a simpler process!

If you want power fold retrofit and you have power seats with memory, then all you need is mirrors, switch and coding. If you do not, then you also need to add wiring to FRM

I have power seats with memory, and still needed to add wiring to the FRM. I chose to replace the door wiring harnesses for a cleaner OEM set up.

Maybe E82 is different to E9x if you have experienced otherwise

has anyone purchased a spare key off ebay?

No need for CA and added functionalities to be coded on, just to start ignition and unlock the car.

If not where else is the cheapest to get this done?

Also, I hate how the numbers are so small. Does anyone know of a place that sells redesigned or custom designed gauge faces in Australia?

Best mod for improving light intensity and dial gradient size is a focal plate. Basically two convex glass plates installed over each of the cluster dials, that act to magnify the optical properties of the viewers (drivers) line of sight. These can be custom manufactured by reputable optics workshops. As an alternative an optometrist can prescribe you a set of glasses that you can wear on your face to obtain the same result lel

These are the differences, not commenting on whether its worth it, thats up to you:

Gauge rings are thicker
Red needles
Numbers are a different font
Cruise control set speed is shown on the left mechanical dial
Dynamic redline according to temperature on right mechanial dial
9k rpm, 330kph readout
M logo
Says MDM icon instead of DTC

I've seen aftermarket dials, most of them are butt ugly. They're easy enough to swap over, but you'll need an INPA setup to recalibrate the dials after removing them.

Ebay Jack Pads

Ordered these puppies today. Seems like a good buy at $14 ish AUD.
Prepare for the four week wait though.

Despite the description of the item they do fit the e90 jack points.

If you drive ur e92 as a weekender, this is a must have. Also fixes some odd issues like DRLs not lighting up sporadically when unlocking via remote. Also keeps battery in green health. For the price and peace of mind, this is a great device to own. Also revived a dead battery on my corolla and reconditioned it.

It’s a trickle charger, and yes you do pay a premium for the CTEK reliability and all the other functions programmed into it. With the 20A charger, you’ll have to monitor it constantly. For the less savvy who don’t spend much time in the garage, this is plug and forget for 4/7 days of the week without worry of overcharging. Horses for courses I suppose.

Not sure what you're talking about. The 40 dollar one may not be as advanced, but does essentially the same thing. Charge a battery without killing it. It has pulse width modulation, not some kind of ancient on off regulator and automatic float charging mode, which will act like a trickle charger once the battery is full.

Your post is kind of off topic anyways, as this thread is for bargains and special finds. That Ctek one is pretty nice, but more of a product recommendation than a bargain.

Here is the link to the eBay one vtl has. I also have this one and if you later wish to flash your ECU with a backend flash or custom map with MHD app, you're safer off with a charger rated above 10 amps just in case your battery drops below the minimum voltage during a flash.
