Who is on Elektra?

Any idea what happens when the car is finally unloaded in New York? Can I track it from that point until it finally arrives in Milwaukee?

Getting pretty antsy, as I dropped it off in Paris on March 5.

I better not still be on the Elektra. I just found her off the coast of Poland. Ironically near a town called Puck. Which is what i will be saying over and over tomorrow if i dont find out that i am on the mignon. lol

Any idea where the dealer got that info? My dealer says she won't know anything more until the car is loaded onto a truck. Both the 800 numbers and the OC Web site continue to say "In transit." Blech.

My CA called the VPC to see when they thought it would be on a truck and they said wednesday. So i am either thursday or friday but i am assuming friday so i dont get to anxious when its not here thursday

I am sure we all got to the VPC at the same time. Its right at the port. My status just changed to at VPC this morning in OC.

My status has changed to at VPC as well. Hopefully that means all the cars will be loaded on Wens.

Check out this e-mail from my dealer this morning. I'm hoping she's wrong.

Where are you seeing the VPC status? Both the 800 number and the OC Web site say "in transit" for me ...

Anyway, here is her e-mail:

"The ship was due to arrive 4/11, but it shows that it did not actually arrive until 4/14. I don't know why the shipping site would have different information, but I would think that my information is accurate.

We are told that it takes 6-8 weeks to receive a European Delivery, so it looks like we are within that time frame. If it drags out for some reason, I'll see what I can do to help you out.

Don't drive yourself crazy checking the site. I'll let you know when it gets on a truck. I promise."

did you put your VIN in to the WW website? Here is the link http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTrac...trackType=Auto the ship docked and left NY on the same day last friday the 11th. It should show you the date and time you were discharged. The ship left the port of Baltimore on the 14th. So if your car was discharged in baltimore that may be correct.

my CA called me this afternoon and i am picking up my car tonight.

So i picked up my car tonight. Pretty sweet. I am still trying to figure out the i-drive ... it may take a few days. The car came with the 2007 nav dvd so i am pissed about that. He is trying to get me the 2008 but i doubt it will happen.

Sucks about the DVD. Not sure you stance on just downloading it, but there is a thread in the idrive nav forum that has a link to download it with bit torrent.

According to the 2wglobal.com site, my car was discharged in NY on April 11 at 6:40 p.m.

I just spoke the ED people (800-932-0831) , and they said it actually arrived on April 14, and it's still sitting there in customs.

In your experience, who is right? You'd think BMW, but with detailed shipping information from 2wglobal.com, that would seem more accurate.

Either way, BMW ED said they have no idea when I'll get my car, and customs can take between two days and three weeks.

Next week will mark eight weeks from drop-off in Paris. Do I have any leverage to start complaining, asking for a free rental car, getting some help on the lease, etc?

Or do I have to suck it up and keep waiting and paying for the car I don't have?
