This is such great news! I just wish you guys were around about 9 years ago when I got my brand new 2007 e60 530i with the n52, 255 hp motor. I always appreciated what a gem of technology it was, especially for the time. I ultimately grew to go onto other cars and now have a e92 m3 and just sold a 2015 f80 m3. I realized I am not a turbo guy so appreciate the s65 engine the most. However the n52, I learned inside and out and always thought it was such a cool engine. If it could have been a 300 bph motor than I think it would have been a perfect engine.
My only concern from my understanding is whether the magnesium block will hold up to the forces of a turbo? Certainly a cool project! |
